Alright, first and foremost BIG UPS to Controlled Labs and PU for chosing me and having faith in me as being a RED ACID product tester!!! This is my first log so I don't mind suggestions and comments on how to feed you all more information you'll need in order to get a clear cut review/reccomendation about this product!

Why in the hell do I look buffer in the mirror then I do in my pictures? Do I need to flex or sumpthin? I'm tellin ya...I don't feel I look that slim. Maybe I'm suffering from delusions of grandeur...


Bodytype: Inbetween an Endo and a Mesomorph

Training experience (as much detail as possible):Recently got into the world of bodybuilding and cardio for health benefits. Been on a regular routine for 8 months now.

Current Training Schedule / Protocol (as much detail as possible):
I do 3 days a week of weight training, Monday-Wednesday-Friday: Off Tues, Thurs and weekends.
I do legs usually one day a week, they are quite big already from playing Ice Hockey my whole life. The rest of my routine is mostly arms, shoulders, back, chest on those 3 days.


Cardio Schedule/Protocol (as much detail as possible):
I do 30-40 minutes on the treadmil 5 times a week, off on weekends. I usually have an incline of 6.5-7 and a speed of 4.1-4.2 for a very aggressive walk. Perhaps it's called HIIT because I do speed up to 6.5(for a run) for a few minutes every 10 minutes during the cardio.

Current Diet (as much detail as possible):

I am currently on a 6 meal a day diet.

7 am: Whey Protien Shake, 2 scoops.
9:30 am: Yogurt/Smoothie
12 noon: Tuna sandwich, nuts, ready to eat meal (under 400 cals)
3 p.m.: High Protein South Beach Bar
5 p.m.: Whey Shake, ready to eat meal (high protein)
8 p.m.: cheese sticks, tuna, nuts, grilled chicken


Short Term Goal: Have gone from 194.5 to 180-178 in under 5 months. Short term goal is to shed another 10 lbs to get down to atleast 170.

Long Term Goal: Keeping the weight off, maintaining a healthy lifestyle at the bodyweight I feel confident and comfortable at.

Can you post before / after progress photos?: Yes, I actually take photos currently to maintain my progress.

ANY and ALL Prescription / Non-Prescription / Recreational drugs: None.

Now that that's outta the way, I recieved my bottle today...Priority mail, cute lil' foam popcorn and all. Nice big bottle with the RED ACID label. I noticed the pills are quite big (I don't have any current recognition of Controlled Labs products, the Green Bulge I ordered is my first and is coming in on Wednesday) so I believe they have alot of substance to them. I'm going to begin using them tomorrow morning first thing, then around 1:30-2 for cardio because tuesday is my off day on weight training. I will give a detailed experience on how they effect me, stimulant wise, energy, cravings, and of course weightloss over the course of a month/however long they last. I will be taking the reccomended dose of 3 caps morning, 3 mid-day. I am NOT on any other stimulants, and am only using Sesamin by Scivation with high fat/carb meals. Which of course I'm going to cut back on during this cut.

My main goal is to get from my current weight of 182.5 down to atleast 170. Perhaps not possible with a one month supply of RED ACID but we will track the results together. I will try to post a side view/frontal picture of my progress every week.

I'm really looking forward to this, and am excited to recieve any feedback/comments on this first log of mine! Thanks again Controlled Labs, because it's time to get "buff like brad pitt, yo" !!!

11/08/05-

Well I woke up around 7...

Had a 2 Scoop Fruit Punch Whey ON 100% shake around 7:05 with a multivitamin.

Showered, got ready for work and took 3 caps of RED ACID on my way out the door.

On the ride into work (I work in downtown D.C., I do graphic design for the government a block from the White House) I had an elevated mood in my head and a LITTLE bit of a higher breathing rate...but controlled...

It is now 8:13 and I am alert, awake, in the mood to do work but not over stimulated and 'jazzed' up. I actually enjoy the feeling so far. No high anxiety like alot of these pills. So far it definitely beats the feeling of LIPO-6's jitters. I can't honestly compare it to any stimulant I've tried, it's a calm yet energized effect. I am bouncing my knee a bit but I'm not in a 'rush' to do anything, although I can tell if I WANTED to get up and run around the block I'd have more then full energy to do so. It is a great mood like "AMP" claims to be, but I've tried AMP before at a month's supply and it left me in a rage-like mood.

I usually do cardio here at work's gym around 1:30 or so. I will update this post until then about how the RED ACID works until that time when I take my second dose of 3 caps for the day. Today is my off day for weight training, but I also want to see how this performs in the gym. I am not on any other supplements except for a multivitamin (Men's One a Day) 100% ON Whey, Green Bulge starting tomorrow(I was using Omega Thunder) and Scivation Sesamin only with high fat/carb meals.

EDIT: For some odd reason, and maybe it's programmed into the RED ACID, but I can't get Kurt Angle's theme song out of my head, even when I was on the can a minute ago...maybe this stuff makes you an Olympic Hero?

Oh, it's true. It's damned true.

Ok, It's now 9:11 am...just had my mid-morning snack. A cup of Fruit at the Bottom yogurt. No jokes please. And this is how I feel:

Focused, yet ready to strike at any minute.

11:03 am...Feeling a little of a come-down but nothing depriving or major. About to grab lunch although it seems my appetite is supressed more than usual.

Ok grabbed lunch. Side salad, heavy on the turkey chunks...2 deviled eggs and small side helping of mashed potatoes, one 20oz. Spring Water. The Red Acid still had a good drive effect on me to get up and go to our lunchroom down in the basement, usually I'm tired and dull by this time of the day.

1:07 pm...I feel the effects of the morning dose of Red Acid wearing off on me now. But that's all about to be solved in a few seconds...because here comes my evening dosage....and now you know it's time..............

"TIME TO PLAY THE GAME"

3 caps...heading to the gym for cardio in 15 minutes.

Alright! Just got back from the gym. Nice workout. I purposely did cardio yesterday with no sort of stimulant help to see the difference. It was gruling at that, fight through 35 minutes on the treadmil. Today was easy. A nice clean burst of energy from the Red Acid. I was able to do 35 mins on the treadmil at 6.5 incline and a fast walk of 4.2 mph. One point higher than my usual 4.1. I also at every 10 min interval did a good minute and a half of a fast run at about 6.5 mph on incline 4.0. Total calories burned around: 425. I was also soaked in sweat, something that usually never happens or rarely. So far so good, I'm really liking the non-jazzed up effects of Red Acid, I will keep you posted more on my meals tonight and tomorrow with my weight training routine!

Alright. I got home around 5, felt fine...had a ready to eat meal, pasta with chicken.


It's now 10:08. Still NO CRASH. This is something I was looking for in a supplement(stimulant/thermo). Had a cheesestick. That's right. A cheesestick. I'm going to get my well deserved rest and it starts all over again tomorrow, STAY TUNED!@!!@

Another day, another dollar my friends. Had a whey shake and a yogurt granola bar at 7:05...popped 3 caps of Red Acid and am now at work. Same feeling as yesterday...clean energy..no jitters. I'll track progress of how long this lasts up until my cardio session at 1:30 or so. I can't quite place the feeling in my head, but it seems to be extra focused. Definitely feel as though a drug is in me. Knee bouncing a bit but it's not a nervous reaction, it's just me being stuck at a cubicle all day. One thing I've noticed so far is that Red Acid HAS NOT given me high anxiety feelings like alot of other thermo/stimulants have in the past. Scorch, Lipo 6, etc. have given me this almost panic mode of MUST GO! MUST DO! With Red Acid it seems If I NEED to go, do, I can, no problem...but there's no FORCING of my mind and body....More to come!

Ok, so I just went to use the restroom and seriously this is how I felt:

It's now 10 a.m. and I can feel the stimulant effects of the Red Acid wearing off...also the focus is mostly gone that I had earlier. I still have the drive and am not sleepy, but it's not as intense. Although it has been about 3 hours since I took the 3 caps. Nothing to complain about...it's not a total crash or a feeling of sleepiness. Must wait until 1:00....
I need more Red Acid!!

11:04 am- Got a big salad, heavy on the protein. Crab/Turkey chunks, no breaded stuff...sesame seeds, broccoli. 20 oz. water.Taking one cap Sesamin afterwards.

After eating, I feel alot better. Perhaps it wasn't even the Red Acid that was giving me a come-down, because now I feel a bit energetic again. I'm sure the food did a bit to revitalize me but I hear eating makes you sleepy as well. Feeling good and looking forward to today's cardio session with the Red Acid.

If I don't lose 60 lbs on this afternoon's cardio I'm going into a serious frenzy, PU... mad.gif biggrin.gif

2:39 pm- Just got back from my cardio. Good workout. Better than without RED ACID. I noticed I got a little worn out by the end, and had a slight muscle soreness, sweated profusely again. Snacking on a Nature Valley whole grain bar and some almond/cashew nut mix.

Got home around 5:30. Hit the weights for about 40 minutes. Bench, pulls, triceps, I have the same workout formula every other day, I just increase the weights. Good news! My Green Bulge came with my new order! So now I'm halfway there to a "Controlled" diet! Also got 2 tubs of Dymatize Elite Whey, NOW Virility Power for libido. Had a pre workout shake, 1 scoop...and a 2 scoop shake directly afterwards.

8:18- Hungryman Dinner. Burger/Fries. 2 caps Sesamin. 1 Now Virility cap.

Shave your chest, pierce your nipples with large coastal fishing weights, get some random jailhouse tats and a giant mother Theresa on your back. Get your last name in old English arching above your navel.

Ok no seriously. I think your shoulders need a little more mass. Back is also lacking mass. SO is the cut at the bottom of the chest (under nipples).

On your weight days can you write out for us what exercise you are doing?

This is the whole problem. I know HOW to do the weights, but I don't know exactly WHAT the training is CALLED. I don't know which machines to USE for which part of the body, I have a very novice routine I learned from my father...any suggestion helps...perhaps post a picture of the exact training scenario and instruct me how many to do...?

My favorite way to tackle weight training is to break it down into 3 days.

Chest and Triceps

Back and Biceps

Legs and Shoulders \ Traps

I train Abs most every workout.

There are many many ways to train, and you will hear about all kinds of styles or ideals, schools of lifting etc.

The general way to start would be to pick 3 exercises for each muscle group that, together will target the whole range of heads or muscles in that group.

For example The Chest is often worked in 3 positions to hit the "whole" chest.

Flat
Incline
Decline

Look through the site I posted for ya and get to know all of the exercises and what they hit. You will see that you can use many exercises to hit the same muscle. Some do the same thing, others are a little different.

The standard rule is that DumBells will activate more muscle fibers than barbells and machines, however there are some fibers that the dumbells will miss and only isolated machines will hit. Many will debate this but most of what I have read points to this being fairly solid hypothesis.

There also seems to be a general concensus that compound movements like a dead lift, tend to pack on more mass and strength than isolated or targeted movements.

I try to work in one or 2 compound exercises per workout.

8-12 Reps per set or using a increasing weight, decreasing rep count seem to be most popular for mass.

Strength training usually goes for lower reps and higher weights. Sometimes doing a long series of single heavy lifts only adding small increments of weight each time. The goal being to move a combined huge working load. Going negative (when you cant lift the weight so you have someone help you and then you let it down as slow as you can) also helps here if im not mistaken.

Things get tricky when you are training to certian goals or sports. If you are trying to train for a marathon, or for football you wont eat, or work out like you would to simply look good.

SO tell us your goals. What do you want to do? Is the brad pit body what you are looking for? If so you will need to get extremely lean but not incredibly massive. You will need to diet like a crazy person and shred fat, (low cals and carbs) then cleanly diet to bulk up to your desired "look".

I am shooting for the look of Ryan Reynolds in Blade \ Amittyville. Maybe a little more mass than he had. I found a good picture of him and this is what I will go by to help me "shape". Granted our frames and genetics may not allow us to look exactly like them, but it offers a good starting point to show you how to ballance your physique for the look you want.

! Damn, great information man, I'll check it all out tomorrow.

I'm basically looking to cut weight around the midsection. Super Abs and Brad Pitt crap is just an inside joke, but yes, we'd all like to look like Ryan Reynolds in Amityville. That takes hard work and dedication..I have both, I just need guidance. I am working on atleast losing 10 pounds from my current weight..I believe you'll be able to see my chest/arms/stomach/pelvis muscles far better and what shape they're in.

Idealy, I see the Rock used to be 'in shape' but a bit bulky, a few pounds over his desired weight...

So basically, I'm the circa 1998-1999 Rock, and I'd like to be the circa 2003 Rock.

What I've noticed is when I gain weight, it goes directly to my FACE and my midsection. My arms and legs and chest seem to remain thin. Pain in the ass...because yes, more bulk on the shoulders/chest/etc would do nicely, but I must have that body type. Any suggestions, but of course I know 'spot reduction' is a farce...damned!

Actually, I'm here. Big props to everyone helping me out..I'm going to check out that information today about muscle groups.

Had a 2 scoop Whey shake this morning around 7. Was using 100% ON Whey and switched to Dymatize Elite..Butter Toffee...Holy cripes this sh*t's good.

Popped 3 caps of RED ACID. Still feeling the clean energy burst. Feel a bit lightheaded. Breathing is up a little.

Had my 9:15 cup of yogurt. All Strawberry Cheesecake. Still feel quite active. Sitting at a cubicle I'm sure skews the effects of Red Acid because your body wants to rest but the stimulant won't allow it...so I've notice that I'm energetic at my desk, but not in a RUSH...but then when I use the restroom or get my snack, it all comes back and I'm up and at 'em!

11:30-LUNCH TIME! Medium Veggie Burrito, Whole Grain Rice, Re-fried beans, fresh salsa. 23.5 oz. Diet Green Tea (Arizona) - 1cap Sesamin, 1 NOW Virility Power

1:30- 3 Caps Popped! Headed off to the gym for cardio.

Ok, back from cardio. Did 35 minutes, incline 6, speed 4.2...intervals of 6.4 a minute at a time. Burned 375 cals. Got back, having a "GROW" bar by Biotest, got it in the mail for free...it tastes like dried doggy-poo. No, really.

Got home at 5...still no crash effect. Had a Whey Shake..can't get enough of that Butter Toffee! 2 scoops.

1:11 am- No crash, even after a tedious night. I have off tomorrow so It's all gravy. Had some mac-cheese/fish dinner. Going to be taking 3 caps of Red Acid tomorrow with 5 caps Green Bulge(first time) before weight training. See ya then!

PU, any suggestions on my cardio in relation to RED ACID reaching it's full potential as a fat-burner? I do Cardio 5 times a week, about 35 minutes each, over 2 miles...fast fast walk and minute runs at each 5 minute interval..I USUALLY end up burning 350-400 calories on average...off on weekends. That sounds good.. I'm a big fan of moderate intensity / long duration cardio at the beginning of a cutting phase... especially with Red Acid. I would consider something like gatorade during your training.

Most of our testers have dropped a couple lb of waterweight, and feel free to take your temp. too.. you might find it interesting smile.gif

So I wasn't going crazy I guess when I felt a rise in my body temperature yesterday.

11/11/05- Oh YEAH!!

Not only am I melting away with Red Acid, but I start my GREEN BULGE today! My current Omega Thunder ran out, and now the Bulge is here. I'm going to be stack these with the weight training today in a few minutes.

Woke up around 10- had off today, had a 2 scoop Whey shake and a Yoplait yogurt. 1 NOW Virility Power cap, 1 Multivitamin.

Ok, just got back from the gym. It was a little off. I think I either am not used to the Green Bulge switch from the Omega Thunder or I need to give it a few days or so. I popped 5 caps Green Bulge and 3 Red Acid, hit the gym, did my weights (Chest, Tris, Bis) and felt a little off, or maybe distracted by the Red Acid stim. ..BUT! I did my cardio directly after for 35 mins and it went SMOOTH, better than the previous days of using it...I think I need to give the Bulge a bit more time, I went after about 30 minutes...I'm feeling wide awake now after getting back to my apartment.

2:15- Double Scoop Elite Whey Berry Blast, 1 Multivitamin

Had a fish/fries Hungryman dinner...no more of those crappers. They were on sale for cheap but I'm out of them and ain't buyin' 'em again! Getting my diet totally straight but my calories are still at a good level. Going to pop second dose 3 Red Acid in about and hour-2 hours from now.
