Let me give a little background before i post first of all, i wasnt planning on posting pics for a while, but i figure why the hell not. you guys are only here to help and support me, and we have grown to "know" each other somewhat well. second, my first pics were from the beginning of september of last year (9-04) and my new pics are from tonight, when i got out of the shower. today was an off day, so no pump, no nothing third, it is really difficult for me to even look at my old pics for any length of time. i hate the way that i look, and it has taken its toll on me emotionally, so please be considerate.....a few jokes dont bother me, i have pretty thick skin, just dont go over the top so heres the story: i was in a nasty car accident where a young girl crossed the center line and hit me head on. i had to spend about a week in the hospital, then another week on my back, just laying there. i lost ALL motivation, i never wanted to do anything (i bet your thinking i got massive just laying there. wrong). i never wnated to eat, nor did i ever feel hungry, and when i did eat i would get full extrememly easily. not only did being that weight mess me up emotionally, but the dr said that when i dropped that low i messed up my thyroid, so now i suffer from hypothyroidism (bdoc2b knows what im talking about) its a tough battle to grow without putting on much fat.....but i did OK. not great....i gained a bit of fat, but im not unhappy, i will be starting my cut in about 3 weeks. here are my stats beginning pics height 6'2" weight 116 lbs (middle of the day, some food in my wee little belly) new pics height 6'2" weight 200 lbs (upon waking after taking a leak) arms 16" waist 34" and i am 19

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy shit man, you don't even look like the same dude, that is a hell of a change for less than a year. Great job, you have built a great foundation to go forward from. Your first pics kind of remind me of the movie The Machinist. That must have sucked. Anyways, great job bro. Let me ask you a question, one Italian to another, do you shave? Cause I have our heritage's great problem of immense body hair, but if you do to you seem to have it under control. I am attributing the lack of hair in the first pics to the hospital situation.
Posted by: italionstallionl Jul 28 2005, 11:02 PM
thanks for the compliments i dont shave, but i imagine i might need to in the future, my dad's entire chest is hairy, and mine is growing....slowly but surely i have a little patch in the middle of my chest, around my nips, and on my lower stomach. other than that, im not a super hairy guy, but like i said, i might need to start. if i did decide to remove the hair i would use Veet hair removing foam. someone i know rids themself of excess hair and says that stuff works the best, just dont leave it on to long
Posted by: Btrice Jul 28 2005, 11:13 PM
Yeah I started out just like that, the hair around the nips is the worst, it will come in guaranteed. Veet works well though? I've tried the Nair for men in the past, but it made my skin so aggrivated. I think I am just going to go to the spa and get the full wax job though, but maybe the veet to maintain will be good. How old are you?
Posted by: Travis55542 Jul 28 2005, 11:13 PM
Believe it or not a lot of women like the freakishly thin look you had before. Doesn't mean you have to like it though! Good job.

Posted by: JennC Jul 29 2005, 01:23 PM
That's quite a transformation! Just out of curiosity, how much did you weigh before the accident? Have you been on meds for the thyroid condition?
| Posted by: italionstallionl Jul 29 2005, 01:32 PM | ||
i weighed about 160 i was taking levoxyl at 100 mg for my thyroid the entire school year up until about the end of may....i just went to the dr on wed. to get blood drawn for a check on my thyroid the results should be back by next wed. so i guess we'll see then what happens you might be wondering why i stopped taking it, i just finished a bottle of it and wanted to see how i could do with out it, thats pretty much it. my parents thought i should stay on it, but they figured it was my choice, so i stopped for a little while |

Posted by: italionstallionl Jul 29 2005, 11:06 PM
thanks again fellas my stats before the accident were 6'2" in the 160 range i lifted before the accident, but never seriously, or for more than a few months at a time. it was more of a social thing to me, i would go with my friends and talk, and lift a little weight now im 110% dedicated and it has become my life style
Posted by: trouble Jul 30 2005, 10:38 AM
Jaw drop time! The only way you could have gained that mass back at that rate, with relatively low bf accumulation, was by strict dieting. At first, I didn't understand why, until you mentioned the before accident weight. You can easily pack on a good 25 additional lbs of muscle to look like an animal. Did you remember my advice to doc2b about thyroid drug alternatives? You can take dessicated raw thyroid, and use thyroid support supplements - a combination that repeatedly outperformed synthetic T4 activity. You also should consider the addition of selenium and gugglesterones, in low doses, to your supps. They has been to help with T4-->T3 conversion, which is often the rate limiting step for thyroid hormone activity in those who have normal TSH. You're probably going to need something to augment thyroid function, as you have been suppressing natural production while on the leveroxyl. I also suggest you consider taking dessicated thymus (same source, Premier Labs out of NZ, has a tightly vetted and controlled herd, which meets MY paranoia checklist for viral control (BSE). 1-2 caps of each per day, first thing in the morning, with other supps before breakfast. Your thymus probably took a hell of a beating from the long recovery time AND your dysfunctioning thyroid will be under the same brain hormone production controls, meaning if one is running on low throttle, the other may well be too. Way to go, 'Stallion!

They are all really happy for me. My friends always "poke fun" of me....they now call me "p mania" and they are my "p maniacs"---think hulk hogan, and hulk a mania and the hulk a maniacs. that started when one of my buddies was wasted, and now everybody calls me that......the p part is because my last name is pellecchia and everyone calls me "p" as a nickname. they all love to ask me nutrition and supp questions now too. thanks again guys, i appreciate the compliments and support |

Damn...looks like two different people. Nice fro though.
| Posted by: italionstallionl Aug 3 2005, 10:40 AM | ||
i actually started at 2 k calories when i was really little---and that was putting weight on me hard to believe, but it did. basically, i just increased as i saw fit. for instance, if i stayed the same weight for a week i would bump up my cals about 200 for the following week. by about march i was eating about 3300 cals, and am now in the 3800 range. my plan is to drop down to about 3300 for maintenance, and run it there for a month, then drop down a few hundred more, and eventually get to 2500 and start my cut glad you like the fro kashi |

Wow Stallion you are an inspiration to all who said it can't be done. Great job! Glad you made it back from your accident better then ever.

I only saw your post now. I must say this must be one of the most inspiring posts I have seen in quite a while. I recon if there is one person out there that can motivate about anybody who wants to get bigger, this person would be you (ok the "hardgainers"). I dunno if you have posted (somewhere here or elsewhere on fast400) how you got there (the whole thing, from what training you did to what supps you took to what your meals looked like, AS MUCH DETAIL AS YOU CAN) and if you havent, why dont you post it with links to your pictures. I recon many newbies will miss this post and it is posts like this that the kids (lol) inspired (maybe even an article?) This would save us lots of frustration with kids that only wanna juice and do nothing else. If they could read and see what is possible they would maybe take a different route in getting there. For best transformation I have seen on this site, I'll give you a 10/10!
Posted by: italionstallionl Aug 9 2005, 10:50 PM
thanks a bunch martin, i really appreciate it i just posted my cut in the diet section, and i could add my bulk diet on to that along with the supps i used

Looking great stallion. A friend of mine at work is shaped exactly like you were except he is 5'6" I'm gonna show him to set a fire under him to train. One question what was your size before the accident.
Posted by: italionstallionl Aug 13 2005, 09:55 AM
thank UM i was 160-170 i think i was an inch shorter too
Posted by: dtaxvoong Aug 13 2005, 11:43 AM
holy crap. Iam also almost as skinny as you were(a bit more meat,but still skinny) you have to tell me what your doing!!
Posted by: italionstallionl Aug 14 2005, 02:29 AM
the most important thing is your diet. i pretty much had this down from day 1....but over time i learned more and revised it everytime i figured out something better. My training was basically second on the list behind diet, then supplements behind training. in the beginning i put on weight pretty quick because my natural bodyweight was a lot more than 116, but as my weight went up, so did my calories. It took me a long time to really realize how much you have to eat to grow......a lot of my friends that lift always tell me they cant get anybigger and they eat a lot, but its simple, if you arent growing, you arent eating enough eat big + train hard = get big i can post a sample of what my diet was toward the end of my "bulking" phase if you would like me to. my supplements always contained the basics, i never really got fancy with anything until the end i started out with a weightgainer-cytogainer, which was great, but moved to whey + carbs a few months after reading on here i used myoplex deluxe, not as an MRP, but as a drink with my lunch. i couldnt eat a whole lot of solid foods without getting totally stuffed, so i would drink something with a good amount of calories beacuse it didnt fill me up nearly as much as whole food always used a blended protein for nighttime i started to take creatine after a couple of months (2-3). by that time i knew that i wasnt going to stop lifting. i started with mono, didnt see much with it other than bloating and water retention. then i moved onto cee. SNS e2 matrix was great, but now i just use bulk cee. i didnt really like dymatize xpand, the pumps were great, but strength gain wasnt anything extraordinary i took fish oil a few months after i started always took a multi vitamin at the end i started adding all types of nootropics and other bulk suppies that arent really necessary, just a little something extra every single night (and i mean every night) right before i went to sleep i would eat a big PB and sugar free preserves sandwich on whole wheat bread and have a shake i never left my dorm room without food. just incase i would be gone for longer than expected i could have a shake or a protein bar (i used tri o plex all the time during school when i was desperately trying to add weight) i ate very, very cleanly, had lots of protein, lots of oats, and lots of whole wheat pasta, lots and lots of chicken and tuna and cottage cheese. i probably ate too much cottage cheese, because now im sick of it. i would easily eat a large tub a day, often more. i had a meal plan at school, but cooked for myself everynight. i would go to the food court with my friends, then when they were done eating i would go make my food in the mini kitchen in the dorm. the only thing i can really say is to get your diet down and follow it to a T. through my experience, it is by far the most important thing that you have to do in order to add size (or lose size if dieting) post your diet in the diet section, people will be happy to help you out (hopefully, so far i havent gotten many replies you have to be 110% dedicated to it, always have food on you. i rarely went more than 2 hours without eating. good luck and hopefully that helped. but unfortunately, most of it probably wasnt any news for you....its all pretty basic stuff, you just have to trust it and be patient

Dude, I'm thinking about printing a lifesize of your before and after pics and putting them on my wall for motivation. Thanks for sharing that with everyone!!
Posted by: trouble Aug 14 2005, 12:03 PM
Did your endrocrinologist look at your DHEA levels? Your HPA axis (hypothalamus, pituitary, and adrenal homeostasis contrrol system) isn't working quite to normal levels. I wonder if you might have slightly low DHEA-S, and should consider having it added to your thyroid maintenance plan, since thyroid hormone is converted from the T4 to the T3 form in the adrenal gland. I wondered about the rounded appearance of your face at the end of your bulking period. More than just normal fat accumulation in facial tissues. Almost the classic moon face of hypothyroidism This begs the question - did your physician alter your synthetic T4 dosage as your body mass increased? And then he stopped it all in May. Let you run back down again...I guess to see if your own natural production was being supressed or augmented by exogenous thyroid hormone. The only reason we know you had some T3 activity, is that were putting on moderately lean muscle mass, and this MUST have been due to your strict and diligent dieting...and lots of protein. Proving once again that higher levels of protein intake are indeed anabolic and not merely nutrients for growth (eg., certain small peptides and amino acids have metabolic regulatory function). Hmmm.... Check with your physician on those hormone panel results. You *may* benefit from a modest exogenous boost of DHEA. Maybe 25-50 mg perday. Not my call, nor yours - this should run by your physician for review and recommendation. You *are* young, and normally this wouldn't be necesssary....but you clearly have HPA axis issues, so it is prudent and timely to inquire on your DHEA-S levels, to assess the possibility that you're not making enough adrenal corticosteroids. I think physicians often overlook this possibility with young patients, assuming that only one hormone problem is present. The interconnected relationships between one hormone cascade and another are becoming more evident to researchers and practitioners alike, with each passing year of study and publication. Just my thoughts this morning, after reading your excellent post, and thinking on your health status. I can't speak for the rest here, but you surely are an amazement to me. And I don't impress that easily....
