I have gone through nearly an entire bottle of venom. As far as fat loss it has worked great, like I have never seen before, but about half way through the bottle I started to notice an odd tightness in my chest that I have never experienced before. This is the only product I was using at the time with the exception of a multivitamin ( Animal Pak), which I take about every three days. I stopped taking Venom to see if there was a correlation and about 3 or 4 days later everything seemed to return to normal. Just wanting to know if anyone else has had any weird side effects from this product. Before any one thinks I am an old fat guy that has never ran a mile and is on the verge of heart attack : I have never had any health problems, I am 22, I run 2 days a week (3 mile sessions) and lift 2 or 3 of the other days of the week. I am in the military and have undergone several physicals and been deemed in very good health. I have always eaten pretty healthy (my parents were huge health nuts), I take my vitamins, I drink my gallon of water every day, I don't smoke, I drink on occasion and when I do it is moderate. I am about 185lbs, and around 13%, 5'8''.

It seems to me you may have had some palpitations or some dysrrhythmia during the time you were taking this stuff. Venom has extremely high levels of caffiene and theophylline in plant extract form. Basically, a single dose is like taking about 5 cups of coffee in a time-released manner. The only way your going to combat this side effect is to take some type of beta-blocker to prevent your heart from racing a 100 miles an hour. By the way, do you take your heart rate during the time your on the shit. My guess is no. I take a heart medication that slows my heart down and is really helpful when i need to take stimulants to get me going in the gym. So, i can feel jacked in the gym and not have to worry about getting a heart attack (NICE!!). Oh, by the way, i run 6 miles a week and 3 miles eliptical cardio plus weight train 2 x a week too. So, it doesn't really matter if your healthy before you take stuff like this. Shit, look at Len Bias's ass. He keeled over from a heart attack and he was pretty healthy. Heart attacks can happen to anyone regardless of one's health. Yes, individuals who have a family history of heart disease have a higher chance of getting heart attacks. But, strokes can happen due to external factors such as stress, smoking, physical exertion, and yes...stimulants. And if your hopped up on giggers without using anything to protect your heart, you'll be dead before you know it. Believe me, extremely powerful giggers can destroy a healthy heart faster than a thick burger from Hardees. The bull has spoken 181 lbs; 5'6 and a half ; and 13%

Venom does have alot of caffeine in it. Gave me a headache somewhat when I was coming down. By the way Len Bias' heartattack was due to a cocaine overdose, that does have a slight tendency to get your heartrate up, I would imagine a little more than just caffeine.

I've been taking venom hyperdrive & also venom special tactics for quite awhile now & I love it! I haven't noticed any negative side effects. Other than it doesn't seem to work as well if I go long periods without eating. - I'm talking it's dinnertime & you suddenly realize you haven't eaten since yesterday. A quick bite & I'm back up to par. I do occasionally have chest pains but was told it was anxiety - I had nothing to be anxious about though, so I don't know. I've had all kids of tests run on my heart & it just runs really fast all the time no matter how relaxed I am, with or without supplements. They call it tachycardia, but say nothing's wrong with me. If you were halfway through your bottle, I would guess it was something else - anxiety perhaps? If you don't like it though, stop takin it. I'd be happy to help out with your leftovers (IMG: http://forums.bulknutrition.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif) I take my vitamins too & drink plenty of water. I'm no longer in the military, but I still do my p.t.

Venom definately does work but there are just too many side effects for my liking. I'm susceptable to stims and this product was just too strong for me. I was using it on a 3 day on, 3 day off cycle and even then I was struggling to sleep after doing this cycle twice. I'd wake up at 4am and be raring to go and then would have a bit of a crash at about 2pm. I also found that this product affected my libido. I originally put this down to training hard and the reduced calorie intake but after hearing that other people experienced the same thing I'm not too sure. One wierd side effect was depression After a couple of cycles I found that the first day off this product I would become quite depressed. We're not talking suicidal but there was a definite 'low' mood and normally I'm a pretty happy guy.

I just tried Venom for the 1st time, after 10 days I had to go off of it. I was only taking one a day and my breathing got worse and worse. I was yawning all the time to try and get a deep breath. I have been off of it for only a day and my breathing has gotten a bit better. I lost 15lbs in those 10 days. I'm in really good shape and workout 3-5 days a week, eat well and am 31yrs old. Since I have started this I have been jittery ever since I started it. I haven't felt like working out as I'm not able to get any good sleep. I have felt spacy and irritable. It's really too bad as I like the results but can't deal with the side effects. (IMG: http://forums.bulknutrition.com/html/emoticons/sad.gif)

I have tried Venom and it is by far the best fat burner I have tried to date, and I have tried quite a few. No other supplement gives me the energy and completely erases any appetite I may have had like Venom. I find myself eating only for something to do as I don't have the desire to eat. I did cycle the supplement on using it on days I play ball or heavy leg days. I do notice a rebound effect where my appetite is out of control when I am off of it for a few days. If you can tolerate this supplement by far one of the best. <br><br> I do have an open question to anyone who may be able to respond. I have noticed a definate decrease in libido and I don't want to say shrinkage but a "retraction" of the testicles from using this supplement. This may possibly be from the supplements affect on the prostate, this is only a guess. Can anyone provide any anwers on this? I read a review to this effect as well:<br>http://www.bulknutrition.com/product_reviews_info.php?reviews_id=12987<br><br>Can anyone provide any opinions on this, and how to possibly remedy the situation?

 | QUOTE (PoppinFresh @ Jan 4 2008, 06:57 PM) | After taking a bottle of Venom 3.0 I experienced several side effects regularly. Slight acid reflux, minor depressive mood swings, headaches, the "giggers" and nausea. Honestly, when I took this before a workout I wasn't able to focus for beans. I never made it past a cap a day. DAY. That stuff got me wired. I am 5'10 180 ~15%.
Lipo6 was leagues more helpful. Venom just fucked me up. I would sweat during lecture just because of one cap, no other thermogenics. The scariest part was the mood swings and the reflux. Felt like I had heart burn about 30% of the time when I was on it, and sometimes the mood swings were so bad I just didn't even want to work out. Bleh. |
I had a log of Venom on here when it first came out and one of the side effects I experienced was depression. Many other people have also experienced this side effect. I have no idea what ingredient would actually cause that symptom. My guess would be the Cocamine.

i don't know what your age is, but some of us older guys seem to have prostate issues on venom. if you decide to take it, saw palmetto seems to help take care of that problem.
