This is the secound time shes used it, she likes it. No sides either time, other than being a lil shaky right as it kicks in. The first time she used it she went from a size 12 to a size 7, so i think thats pretty good. She diets well and works out pretty hard 5 days a week. Shes more interested in gaining more muscle mass now, i guess im rubbing off on her. biggrin.gif

i bought a case last time i was up there, Nicks Supermarket. There are a bunch of middle eastern men running the place and my training partner (when i am in NY) and i walk in, woutweighing them by 10fold. Demand the "stuff" and they bring it out by the case for us. I am smuggling the shit back to PA, selling them for $3-4 each.

they are wild though...

hadi, how much can you pick up?

As of may 17th in 2007, I can no longer do things that I loved and enjoy doing. My body looks nothing like it use too. I know I loved getting stronger and gaining lean muscle, never worried about getting big as I liked staying lean. At my peak I was 170lbs with 7.5% bodyfat. I know about bulking I bulked and I'm staying a calories are not the same.

And for the redord I can't lift nearly what I use to lift, and my body is completely different! I'm still healing but just trying to get back up on that horse that just kicked me in the teeth.

Posted by: hadi_D Feb 24 2008, 03:45 PM
like I said I rather loose a leg then loose an arm! But we can not choose this situations.

And this is the closest picture I can get, I did use prohormones like phera-max and Epastane. When I was in highschool I was real fat, around 225 no muscle. So from that to this is a great accomplishment.

Umm, wow. I didnt expect a mini e-fight on this thread. But ne who, when i start cutting alot of fruit will start filtering its way in as a source of carbs, and anti oxidants, etc. But in a few ill be posting a pic of a rushed lunch, taste good, but not to healthy. Grilled cheeze, and Potatoe soup with bacon and cheddar.

Posted by: DownTown Feb 24 2008, 05:13 PM
ok here it is, 2gs of protien per cheeze slice = 4 1g per bread slice = 4, and 16gs of protien for the soup, a whooping grand total of 24grams of raw muscle building potental. And about 84 grams of carbs. Soo here it is.......................

Posted by: Chris25533 Feb 24 2008, 05:34 PM
Good old grilled cheese, I havnt had one of those in awhile. I by no means wanted to start a fight in this thread nor any thread of that matter. I understand everyone eats different things, but to me you need a solid protein source, complex carb and healthy fats in your meals. Lets get back to posting our pictures. I'm going to post a few later on that i've taken the past few days.

The yogurt is just a pwo meal after cardio, I eat in the next hour-hour and a half. Now we all know, no one here eats like a chick...eehhh well maybe Bombr But thats another story tongue.gif . Although I dont believe in gaining alot of fat when I want to gain some muscle just because I use to be overweight in my teens. But I was kinda kidding about most of the whole thing, just your eating blueberries to bulk up kinda hurt my feelings smile.gif

Well posting these pictures are fun and great to see, so keep throwing them in here. Chris if your honest then it is great to have met a fellow amputee who doesnt let his body go all to hell just because he is missing a limb! And welcome to the Forums!!!

Yeah I got no reason to lie. I've posted a few times on this board about having cancer when I was younger. I personally just don't post pics on here of my leg because I don't want people feeling sorry for me. A lot of people out there have it a lot worse then I do. I give you lots of credit for still lifting weights after your accident. Even missing my leg I still ride my crotchrocket. Don't ever stop doing anything you love to do. That yogurt pwo meal looked pretty good. Might give it a try and add some raw oats into it.

I was given the opportunity to know Hadi very well prior to his accident. I never met him in person, but we often spoke to each other. He was ultimately the guy that kept my meals in shape. Hadi is a very intelligent guy when it comes to healthy eating, and even lifting.

To be honest, I do not know many people who go from being as big as Hadi was, to as fit and in shape as he was, and still is.

Also, I honestly do not understand how anyone can say that his diet and the type of shape his body was in didn't help his recovery. If he ate nothing but shit for food, his recovery would obviously be slower. I for one know this from experience. Well, about 5 months ago I was playing in a 7on7 football passing scrimmage and I lacerated my liver, put me out for most of my senior football season. Doctors said that the only reason why I got to play again was because of the type of health I was in.

Recovery is obviously based on one's health.

Anyway, hadi keep with it man.

p.s. I am not trying to start a fight at all.

Hadi has some pictures posted in here, just search them.

Yeah, Taylor is a great kid, not that he is really young. But me and him go way back when Gears of War just came out, we had alot of good games on the Xbox live. That is what the doctors were telling everybody that I was in great condition and everything was strong. I mean I didn't smoke, drink, and rarely go to the clubs with my room mates and me having no defiency of Vitamins and Minerals. Body was in great condition. My whole story is not becoming a bodybuilding competitor or a huge fitness model but coming from 225 to what I use to be is a drastic improvement. So when I bulk I'm still tight on my nutrition cause gaining fat is wasting time. But for right now legs are the most important workouts! I remember when I came in here with one post and knew nothing, now over 1000 posts later and had read 3 nutrition books, im still learning! I just want everyone to keep SFW! one arm will not stop me and hender the mental image of what I want to look like! But somebody needs to post some pics of food, cause they are soo fun!!!

Contribution #2 - baked boneless/skinless chicken breasts for this week. Big bag of them (like 6 big chicken breasts) = $6 at Super WalMart. Cheap and healthy.

I thaw them in the microwave, season them, bake them 30 to 35 minutes at about 375 degrees. Throw them in the fridge in a container and heat them up throughout the week.

The pictures don't really show the size very well. I normally cut them in half and eat a half of one at a sitting (in a salad, or with hot sauce, etc), but I'm trying to lose weight and get my protein with as low of calories as possible, so this works pretty well. If I was trying to gain it might be a different story tongue.gif

Middle of the week I'll probably bake 3 more of 'em. Tomorrow night will probably be my burger-cooking night - lean cheeseburgers cool.gif

that chicken looks awesome. Nothing better then throwing some seasoning on them and cookin them up..

Posted by: DownTown Feb 24 2008, 10:54 PM
Try throwing them on the grill and lightly brush some olive oil while cookin them. I dont wanna spoil the surprise but they will be so friggin juicy, and if you mix the seasoning in with the olive oil and then brush it on while grilling it will hold the flavor so much better. GOD I LOVE FOOD!!!!!

Posted by: Chris25533 Feb 24 2008, 10:58 PM
deff agree with downtown on that one. Any meat cooked on the grill is 10X better. But idk where everyone is located but I don't do much grilling when its 20 degrees out.

Posted by: hadi_D Feb 24 2008, 11:01 PM
I grill thats it...only time I fry is using pam spray olive oil on egg beaters.

Posted by: DownTown Feb 25 2008, 12:14 AM
I pan fry only cuz im married with a kid and i cant grill hamburger helper, but i grill or bake every chance i get. Im working on some new ideas for my bulking meals, so stay tuned for some goodies!

Its about an hour away from Greenville, or 2-3 hours from Kinston. Well its the Marine Corps air station, and its prolly hard to miss on a map. If your interested in the BBQ then let me know. And here is the seafood stir fry we had tonight, cooked with virgin olive oil. It was OK to be honest, the wife didnt use the alfredo sause.

I buy mine with the bone it, skin on...I drizzle some spices, a little bit of seasoned salt and roast them at 350 for close to an hour...its your choice whether you want to eat the skin or not.

if that doesn't sound appealing then you can dice your chicken and make a curry or a stew with it....
