I noticed Custom Nutrition Warhouse has 20% turkesterone in stock. As far as I've seen, the ONLY company who has put this stuff in capsules is Anabolic Xtreme (mass fx).

So my question is: When will supplement companies start to market this stuff?

Does anyone have any experience with it/reviews/thoughts?

I find it very interesting that two supplements with incredible potential (testofen and turkesterone) are barely put in supplements, but crap like I3C is everywhere.

Feel free to opine.

I, for one, am looking forward to trying turkesterone out on its own (currently using Mass FX MS).

I think it is awesome. Before using MassFX Max I experimented around with this stuff a while back, and loved it then.

How are you liking MassFX Max so far?

No complaints. The addition of the AI was a good idea.

Yeah it was. I liked the original MassFX but I love the new one. So far, in my experience it is significantly better.

I'm not sold on turke or any ecdy products. Might be good for cutting but pretty mcuh worthless on a bulk. They don't appear to be very anabolic but most plant sterols aren't. Some russian or eastern european studies compared it to d-bol but that was a crock of shit. I did try massFX though and it was a good test booster so I'm sure the new one won't be any different. Too bad they don't sponsor any logs here. sad.gif

Im not very familiar with that original study done in Russia, all I know is that it was compared to d-bol, etc.

While Turk doesnt have the androgenic side effects that d-bol has, turk definitely does have the ability to stimulate protein synthesis and nitrogen retention, which is exactly what we wanted from it. Nothing more.

The New MassFX is above and beyond the scope of the original. The gains on this have exceeded my original expectations.

Snake oil salesmen were crooks and liars back in the old days. They would sell bottles of snake oil telling people it was a panacea for all their aches and pains, sicknesses and disease.

Turkesterone is no snake oil. I'll point you to this study:

Phytoecdysteroids and anabolic-androgenic steroids--structure and effects on humans.

Curr Med Chem. 2008;15(1):75-91.

Báthori M, Tóth N, Hunyadi A, Márki A, Zádor E.
Department of Pharmacognosy, University of Szeged, H-6720 Szeged, Eötvös utca 6., Hungary. Bathori@pharma.szote.u-szeged.hu

Phytoecdysteroids are structural analogs of the insect molting hormone ecdysone. Plants comprise rich sources of ecdysteroids in high concentration and with broad structural diversity. Ecdysteroids have a number of proven beneficial effects on mammals but the hormonal effects of ecdysteroids have been proven only in arthropods. Their structures are somewhat similar to those of the vertebrate steroid hormones but there are several structural differences between the two steroid groups. Despite of these essential structural differences, ecdysteroids exert numerous effects in vertebrates that are similar to those of vertebrate hormonal steroids, and they may serve as effective anabolic, hepatoprotective, immunoprotective, antioxidant and hypoglycemic agents. Ecdysteroids do not bind to the cytosolic steroid receptors, instead, they are likely to influence signal transduction pathways, like the anabolic steroids, possibly via membrane bound receptors. The application of phytoecdysteroids is a promising alternative to the use of anabolic-androgenic steroids because of the apparent lack of adverse effects. The prospective use of phytoecdysteroids may extend to treatments of pathological conditions where anabolic steroids are routinely applied. One of the most cited aspects of phytoecdysteroid application (on the Internet) is the increase of muscle size. However in this field too stringent research is needed as an adequate cytological explanation is not yet available for the anabolic. This paper reports on the most important structural differences between androgenic hormones, their synthetic analogs and ecdysteroids. The anabolic/hormonal effects and the possible mechanisms of action of these compounds are also discussed as concerns the skeletal muscle.

Along with that study there are several others showing the benefits of it in regards to protein synthesis.

No its not.

Technically it is "steroidal", but so are other sterols, bile acids, etc.

So lets not confuse the term steroid, with anabolic steroids.

It doesn't act steroidal at all. It appears to act in the same fashion as a hydrophilic hormone, binding extracellularly, and affecting transduction pathways. There is also the potential for the sterone to incorporate itself within the cell membrane which would alter permeability and cell structure (density), as well as cell signaling. Ultimately, the exact mechanisms are unknown but the observations of turkesterone supplementation are known: increased nitrogen retention, and mass gain (from livestock studies).

One would think that the the ability to stimulate protein synthesis and nitrogen retention would lead to more anabolism but ecdy products just haven't panned out. I've seen tons of reviews and everyone seems disappointed in the product. So perhaps it doesnt boost these to levels that would make the product anabolic in nature. The favorable revies have mostly been from those who were cutting so it seems to be an effective anti-catabolic product moreso than an anabolic one.

Also, a lot of substances have favorable studies to support them but for whatever reason don't seem to pan out when in the hands of consumers. The anecdotal feedback from comsuners is just as important as peer referrenced studies IMO. Maybe you guys could sponsor a log or two here.

I see where you are coming from, but of turk and ecdy, turk is much more anabolic.

Before turk was even included in MassFX MS, I used turk by itself to compare it to a previous run of a pure ecdy product and the differences were clear.

Sorry for being naive, but what is the difference between steroid and anabolic steroid? Ive always just assumed anything with "steroid" near it is bad, will mess up your internal organs and will require some form of PCT...
