I went to the daytime Rays game today. Parking used to be free as an attraction to come see the games, but I pulled up to the lot today and it said "$10 parking". Needless to say I parked on the street.

Today was a promo day and they were giving away free mousepads and Bam Bam Sticks, the inflatable sticks you smack together and they're loud as fuck. It was only to kids 14 and under, so I said my 10 yr old brother was coming to visit this weekend and he'd REALLY like a pair. I don't have a brother...I just wanted them.

Rays won the game and series.

Rays won a lucky game last night, no talent involved in their scoring, just well-time HR's and awesome defense. Their offense has been whacked since before the AS break.

I like both of them. I'm from Minnesota but now I live in St. Petersburg. They don't broadcast Twins games on tv down here so the Rays became my "home team" by default. Plus the fact they're an awesome team doesn't hurt.

I think I'm in love with a man. Dude's a brick wall at 3rd base and a threat at the plate every time he steps up.

How shitty is it that X-Man went to the Yanks? It's good for him I guess since it's like a status symbol to be bought by them. Too bad he couldn't go to a team that really needs a good player though.

Actually the Yankees do need him. Matsui and Posada aren't playing. They couldn't continue playing Betemit and some rookie in the outfield and expect to win like a team with a 200mil payroll is supposed to.
