| Well its almost been a year for me being a dad! Time flies, it seems yesterday I was carefully holding a new born baby girl. We got her 1 yr old pics done last Saturday. After getting these pictures done, I cannot believe my wife and I created someone this beautiful. I couldn't ask for a better daughter to have in my life, she's definitely a gift from God. Hardly ever cries, smiles alot, and is very observant about what is going on around her. I look forward to the time I get to spend with her each day. She makes me laugh alot, she is going to be hard to let go of someday. Being a dad is great, it has its bad moments of course but the good totally outweighs the bad. Watching Savannah discover new things is the best feeling in life. Its hard to explain and understand till you, yourself are a father and see your baby's eyes light up when you show them something they think is amazing. Well enough talk...here she is!! |

| Nice, Ben! My son just had his 9 mo. pics taken (1.5 mo. late LOL). He'll be 1 year in July. Time flies wayyyyy too fast. I want to swadle him again. You are right. Being a parent is great. I wouldn't change a thing. Congrats on the 1 year! |

| Thanks guys for the comments. typeRob, we plan on having one more though its still just an option and isn't totally in the books yet. Byran, No protein shakes yet, though she loves my shaker cups so if she hasn't gotten alittle taste yet, it probably won't be long! Especially now in transition to all out cow's milk. I hear ya Shakes on the swadling, just when you get comfortable holding a baby and everyone else holding her, next thing you know they don't want to be held like that anymore... Really this is my first baby experience, my sister has 2 but has lived in Colorado since they were born so I got to see them for a week about once a year but thats about it. So for the most part I've never been around babies! Definitely is awesome, but you do miss some of your free time. I put 12,000 miles on my sportbike in 2 years, and 700 in the past 2 years since Sandy's been pregnant and since we had Savannah. In some ways I miss it, and in some ways I don't. When I do get time to ride I'm about 90% less aggressive riding it now! LOL! Went out and bought $70 worth of party favors last nite, alot of pink princess stuff! Haha, I think I'd better get a few pumps of E-Form in after that! One things for sure, she's probably gonna be one of the few that like muscular guys. I'll come upstairs after working out and she'll smile and point, I'll hit a few poses and she giggles. |

stfu noob |
| Posted by: azfittrainer May 14 2008, 12:06 PM |
| Why dude? I'm not being rude or insulting. Isn't the whole point of being a parent to raise kids so they grow up and become adults. Don't tell someone to stfu you can't make shut up. |

I received this PM from Azfit wrt this thread...
Do you have any children Azfit? |
| Posted by: azfittrainer May 14 2008, 12:40 PM |
| If you want to discuss this, lets do it somewhere other than Bens thread about his 1 year old girl. |
| Posted by: goodskie May 14 2008, 12:44 PM | ||
i'm sure its the same way with wanting your dog to stay a puppy. its cuter. and i'm sure bigben just wanted a little more time with his baby ....as a baby. Ben, keep posing all the time so she likes jacked guys. thats hilarious. maybe she'll date a jacked guy when she gets older instead of some pussy noob like typerob just make sure ur jackeder than her future bfs |
| Posted by: azfittrainer May 14 2008, 12:57 PM |
| I can understand the cute part, but I would imagine you also look forward to seeing your child grow up and see what kind of Man/Woman they become. |

| Posted by: youngtheo8888 May 14 2008, 10:22 PM | ||
why would you want to rush it man? i mean yeah you look forward to them growing up because you cant do anything about it, but look forward to it. and you cant stop it or slow it down. its like when you go on a vacation. you enjoy it so much and you love every minute of it. but when you get off all you can do is look back on it and its just a memory. gay analigy i know. but i just cant figure out why you wouldnt enjoy a child as much as you can while its still a child. i dont really know why im telling you this. you could argue with a brick wall and proclaim yourself the winner. anyway. Cute little girl Ben. the whole, you posing and her giggling, made me smile. lol i doubt itll be hard for you to keep the guys away! |
| Posted by: azfittrainer May 14 2008, 11:26 PM |
| I didn't say anything about rushing it, I just don't understand many parents apprehension to the inevitable fact there child will grow up. |
| Posted by: goodskie May 14 2008, 11:31 PM |
| thats not what bigben said. if u cant understand, then u cant. go away |

| Thanks for the compliments guys, I'll be sure to tell her Saturday that the guys from Bulk say "Happy Birthday!!!" too. Maybe someday I'll pull this thread up for her as well! I really look forward to Savannah growing up, but babies are just such a special part of your life and I mean how often do you get to have a baby in your house or even hold a baby? The first year of watching your child discover everything from the different tastes of food to the first time she really has fun splashing around in the tub. Her development as easy as her first smile and laugh to when she first held her head up, crawled, then her first steps. I could name off stuff forever everything they do brings a smile to your face, especially when you realize its something they've never done before. Theres so much you take for granted till you have a baby, and then you see all these first things and realize how special having and being a baby really is. Then you next thing you know she's already a year old, and being cradled in your arms isn't as comfortable as it used to be to her, or she doesn't need your help to walk anymore. As people grow older in each stage of life their independence grows, and then they have their own life...what fun is that?!! How often do you see a dad feeding his 18 year old daughter?!! You have all the time in the world to grow up, but being a baby only really lasts that first year. After that she's able to do a few things herself. Like Young said, then its just a memory of a great time and definitely the best memories of my life. And as Goodskie said its not like I don't want her to grow up, I do, I just wish I had more time to spend with her while she is still a baby! It is like having a puppy too, just an even greater feeling as she is part of me. Sure seeing the woman she's gonna be is of course going to be cool, but the closer she gets to growing up the more I get to worry & stress and really the less I'll probably see of her!!! I guess if your kid is a pain in the ass, then I could see you wanting them to grow up to become stronger or something! But so far Savannah has been an angel, I feel Sandy and I are really blessed to have such a healthy, happy, and cute baby girl!! Growing up can take all the time in the world as far as I'm concerned, as I am enjoying every minute of it now!! |
| Posted by: azfittrainer May 19 2008, 01:51 PM |
| Good for you. |
| Posted by: ftank May 19 2008, 01:56 PM | ||
I think it's less about the kid growing up, and more about you as a parent growing old. No one wants to grow old. |
| Posted by: Jayv24 May 19 2008, 03:33 PM |
| Yeah they're angelic at this age, enjoy it while it lasts lol Cute kid btw. |
| Posted by: DownTown May 19 2008, 07:22 PM |
| Holly cow, i was in iraq when she was born, and i remeber you posting it up. I feel the same way about my daughter, i bet you still remeber the first time she fell asleep when you were holding her. I do, i fell asleep to sitting up and when my wife tried to take her and she couldnt pry her out of my hands even while i was asleep, fatherly instinct i guess. BTW she looks like your female clone, but shes still adorable regardless. I got to end this, mine is double fisting sippy cups and forcing me to drink from them. Enjoy the time you have with her now, cuz soon she wont stop moving long enough to get your daddy baby time. |
| Posted by: Big_Ben May 20 2008, 11:35 AM | ||
Haha, very true about the sippy cups my man!!! It makes Savannah smile when she gives dad a drink! And the whole falling asleep in your arms...priceless. I love it! I get the looking like dad alot! Hopefully with age she'll resemble mom more!!! Its weird some people say she looks just like Sandy, and some like me. Even one time a guy in a store thought we were brother and sister!!! |
| Posted by: Big_Ben May 20 2008, 11:39 AM | ||
Thanks, hope that kind of explains it. I know once you have kids, if you plan to atleast, you'll feel exactly the same and it'll make better sense. Its hard to explain the feeling of being a new dad, but you never want it to end. |
| Posted by: TittyDance May 29 2008, 07:02 PM |
| Very cute girl Ben, tell her TittyDance says happy first birthday. Haha. |
| Posted by: azfittrainer May 30 2008, 01:17 PM | ||||
I'll be 30 in two months, and I still don't have the urge to have kids. If it doesn't hit by 40, I won't try to have kids. I think people who are 40+ and starting to have kids are selfish. |
| Posted by: Roids May 30 2008, 05:40 PM |
| WTF? I have a cousin who is 48 and just had his first baby. His wife is about 13 years younger than him. It just took him a while to grown up and settle down. Why is that selfish? |
| Posted by: azfittrainer May 30 2008, 06:48 PM |
| Because by the time the kid graduates high school he'll be 66. While all the other kids get to grow up with a young dad, his kids will have an old tired dad, who is probably starting not that many years away from poor health or worse. By the time that kid graduates college dad will be 70 or older, and by the time they get married and have kids Dad will probably be dead. My brother in laws dad was 49 when he was born, and when all the other kids grew up with a young dad who would play catch with them and roughhouse, and take them to do cool things, he watched his old dad retire and get sick, and die. Your cousins is denying his kid the joys of a normal healthy parent. |
| Posted by: PotentiallyFatal May 31 2008, 06:32 PM | ||
ahhaa..funny sh*t Ben! You're daughter is adorable bro...you're very lucky. |
| Posted by: goodskie May 31 2008, 07:41 PM | ||
well if he didnt have the kid then he is denying him of life. i'd rather have an uber old dad than not be here |
| Posted by: Cdubya Jun 1 2008, 12:53 AM |
| fucking word |
| Posted by: Will109090 Jun 1 2008, 03:37 AM |
| azfit, you're assuming most 66 year-olds are unhealthy. I know quite a few people in their 60s that are in better health than many people in their 30s, and they have blood tests to prove it, i.e. uncles, aunts, other family members. I don't think it's selfish at all. It's just a matter of settling down and when you want to have kids. If a person wants to have a kid at 60, then more power to them. az, I know you're probably a good guy, but I really wonder about your train of thought sometimes. |
| Posted by: PotentiallyFatal Jun 1 2008, 04:54 PM | ||
azfit is 50% princess, 25% arrogant prick, 20% pompous asshole, and 5% good guy. |
| Posted by: azfittrainer Jun 1 2008, 06:19 PM | ||||
Thats easy for you to say, you didn't grow up with an old sickly parent. My brother in law hated not having a dad he could do normal father son things with. |
| Posted by: azfittrainer Jun 1 2008, 06:21 PM | ||
The average life expectancy of a man in the US is 71. That means a 66 year old on average has 5 years left to live. You can't honestly tell me a 70 year old can usually do what a 30 year old can. |
| Posted by: azfittrainer Jun 1 2008, 06:22 PM | ||||
At least I'm not a coward who vandalizes peoples car, instead of confronting them? I'm also not an insecure asshole who can't keep his girl satisfied enough, that he has to worry she's always cheating. |
| Posted by: Taylor135049 Jun 1 2008, 06:33 PM |
| ouch.... |
| Posted by: Cdubya Jun 1 2008, 09:09 PM |
| Wow way to hijack Ben's thread.. Honestly who gives a shit how old your dad is as long as he can guide you the right way until you reach 18..I'd rather have a dad who's 50 then a dad who's 20 that's a dickhead and had me by mistake... |
| Posted by: goodskie Jun 1 2008, 09:20 PM | ||||||
thats so old man. get over it. at MOST you're not those things |
| Posted by: azfittrainer Jun 2 2008, 09:32 AM |
| WHy, should I get over it? He's a weak coward, who deserves shit for what he did. He never even owned up to ruining that poor kids car. |
| Posted by: azfittrainer Jun 2 2008, 09:33 AM | ||
How old was your dad, when you were born? |
| Posted by: Roids Jun 2 2008, 12:04 PM | ||||
I don't know why assfit had to attack you. I thought you were quite generous. Life expectancy for white males in the United states as of 2004 was http://www.census.gov/compendia/statab/tables/08s0100.pdf years btw, not 71. |
| Posted by: azfittrainer Jun 2 2008, 01:16 PM |
| I didn't attack will. Still, who wants to graduate highschool at 18, and know their dad is probably going to die before your 30? I'm not saying an older man can't be a good father, I'm just saying it's not fair to the kid, that they don't get nearly as many quality years with their dad as a younger man would with his kids. I'm nearly 30, and my Dad probably has another 25-30 years left hopefully. |
| Posted by: Chris25533 Jun 2 2008, 02:03 PM |
| Who can really tell someone what to do with their life? Plain and simple... NO ONE.. Who cares at what age someone decides to have kids. Some people try and have kids for years before they finally can have one. Make the time you have with loved ones count and thats all that matters. How did the party for your little one go ben? |
| Posted by: Mustang69 Jun 2 2008, 02:33 PM | ||
hav another baby! cute kid:) |
| Posted by: Roids Jun 2 2008, 02:50 PM |
| Every heard of cryonics? You never know. Imagine being 80 years old and 30 years after you burry your dad, he comes knocking on your door and he's younger than you are! |
| Posted by: Mustang69 Jun 2 2008, 03:58 PM | ||
just fuck &hav another baby....she's guna need a playmate. sheesh Roids! |
| Posted by: Will109090 Jun 2 2008, 05:41 PM | ||||
lol, well then you don't know too many healthy old people. I just saw a 67 year-old this weekend who, before a foot injury, was running 30 minutes on the treadmill 4 days a week. Saw blood tests and they were in the same range as people 20-25 years younger. |
| Posted by: azfittrainer Jun 2 2008, 08:27 PM |
| If 60+ year olds are so much healthier than 20 year olds then why don't we see them in MMA or boxing matches? Or playing pro sports? |
| Posted by: goodskie Jun 2 2008, 08:38 PM | ||
because they're too slow and weak. doesnt mean they cant run a lot fast and longer than some young guys. it also doesnt mean that they can't have much better bloodwork than young guys. or look and feel better. it all depends on how they take care of themselves....usually anyhow. dont ask such stupid questions. always tryin to start a fight. i dont even know why i respond to your stupid questions and arguments |
| Posted by: azfittrainer Jun 2 2008, 09:21 PM |
| No they can't. Unless they've been training hard their whole lives, most 65 year olds aren't going to keep up with even recreational 25 year olds. |
| Posted by: goodskie Jun 2 2008, 09:37 PM |
| no shit. thats why i said SOME. YES some 65 year olds are in better shape. nice try tho just like the 67 year old that will was talking about. that can run 30 minutes 4 times a week. not all 20 year olds can do that. i bet MOST cant do that. drrrr i highly doubt u can do that i win. sucks dude. |
| Posted by: azfittrainer Jun 2 2008, 10:00 PM |
| Yes cuz lots more 67 year olds run that many miles a week than 20 somethings. Nice try |
| Posted by: Cdubya Jun 2 2008, 10:58 PM |
| OMFG AZ WHO THE FUCK CARES STFU ALREADY, DROP IT........................FUCKING A |
| Posted by: Will109090 Jun 2 2008, 11:53 PM |
| azfit, what I'm saying is that there are always exceptions to the rule. I would venture to say that most foreigners (typically from countries on the Asian continent) in their 50s are healthier than the majority of Americans in their 30s. It's just the lifestyle, diet, etc. I never said all people in their 60s were healthier than people in their 30s and 40s. Definitely not so in this country. But take people in their 50s from Japan, for example, and compare them to Americans in their 30s and 40s, and I bet the Japanese would be much healthier than the Americans. We're so damn obese in this country and don't give a shit about health. I'm fucking hungry as shit but can't eat because I have a physical in 9 hours. Here's hoping to good bloodwork! |
| Posted by: azfittrainer Jun 3 2008, 01:17 AM |
| Yes I agree there exceptions, But lets continue this in another thread, instead of clogging up Ben's. |
| Posted by: Mustang69 Jun 3 2008, 08:06 AM | ||
yea... wtf is this!?! i thought ur convo was about a baby... till i actually read wat u guys where blabbin about lol |
| Posted by: Big_Ben Jun 3 2008, 09:22 AM | ||
LOL, man what the hell happened in here?!! Yo Chris good post, as are a few others. Sorry I didn't see your question I didn't even know this thread was still going, but the party went great. Savannah never cried or whined the whole day, she was happy all day not even a whimper. Of course I didn't get to spend much time with her as I was busy making sure everything was set. I was even the last one to eat, but I made sure that I took big helpings of all the food!!! Savannah had about four handfulls of her cake before she decided to demolish it! Sandy did a great job with her birthday cake, it was freakin' one of the best cakes I've had...about as good as our wedding cake! Everyone seemed to have a great time so all was good, even got to "Hit the streets" of GTA4 with Sandy's nephew(15) for a few minutes before I let him take over!!! Spent Sunday playing in the yard with all her new toys, I threw down $155 at ToysRus!! But it was well worth it, her favorite thing is the Little People barnyard I picked out for her. Got her one of those baby swings you tie up in the tree that she really likes, she fell asleep in it last Tuesday after work. Got her this talking purse that got good reviews online, its got a few things that go inside it, her favorite is the plastic lip stick! And one of those blue rocking dogs, like a sawhorse, she hasn't quite figured out how to rock it so I help her, and then push it around the house on the carpet and chase our dog around!!! So far we've only taken a spill once!!!! So good times, couldn't be happier how that day went. Wish I had more time yet again, but I can't ask for more being that it was a 3 day weekend, hopefully all her birthdays will fall on or very close to Memorial Day. Once I get my disk of pics filled up I'll post some up, its only got a few more pics so probably by the end of the week. Last weekend for alittle extended birthday present I took Savannah to the zoo, just her and I as mom was busy with family! She really liked these tiny monkeys about the size of a squirrel, and the baboons! Her eyes got huge when the tiger walked by the glass about a foot from her face!! Very fun felt like the first time I was at the zoo showing her all the animals, definitely some of the most meaningful days of my life! No matter how old you are if you want kids have them, the sooner the better though, I'm glad I wasn't tied down till I turned 30 and had my fun. Now its just a more responsible type of fun probably even more memorable really. The only downside about waiting longer to have kids is the big one birth risks, and then just being old and not being able to do the things you would have if you were younger with your child. But you are only as old as you feel, just don't have kids too early and then regret not being able to do the things you wish you would have in your own life. |

i tell you what, if i ever see a 60 year out lift me at the gym, im gonna quietly walk to the showers and hang myself benoit style. and there is no way in hell a 60-65 year old would outrun me or out-sprint me either. again, if it happens id kill myself. by the time you hit 60, your test levels are bottomed out. your muscles have atrophized and the collective toll of free radicals has ravaged you. at 60 (if im around by then) im gonna be HGH'd up to the NTH degree and running test. thats the fuckin fountain of youth...hormones. |
