I'm quickly becoming a fan of the AN products and with the awesome opportunity they are presenting I figured I would give the new Neovar a shot. Here's the product description:

New NeoVar “Recomped” is the most potent and biologically efficient creatine product yet. The Mono/PCr Complex in NeoVar is a precisely proportioned combination of phosphocreatine and creatine monohydrate that is chemically identical to the naturally occurring human skeletal intramuscular creatine pool stored in your working muscles. No other creatine product accomplishes this! Additionally, NeoVar adds our proprietary Glucovar / Adenylate Cyclase Sensitization Complex, which contains powerful, scientifically proven insulin-mimetic compounds that can dramatically improve creatine transport into skeletal muscle cells where you want it – without the bloat!

* Increases cellular volume maximizing muscular size and strength while increasing protein synthesis
* Increases insulin sensitivity, maximizing glucose and creatine transport into the muscle

20 years old
Male
5'10''
187-188 lbs
Not sure about body fat

Experience: Training since freshman year of high school (6 years), always for some type of sport.

Goals: I am training for rugby so body fat, appearance, etc are not priorities.
1. Increase strength. I want to get my bench press to 300 lbs for 1 rep (currently 275) and power clean to 220 (currently 205) before I leave for Australia July 15.
2. Gain 4 lbs of lean muscle. I haven't been this light since junior year of high school because I lost a lot of weight following a shoulder injury.

Training:
Mon- Upper Body
Tues- Lower Body
Wed- Cardio
Thurs- Upper Body
Fri- Lower Body
Sat- Cardio

My training partner picks the workouts each day but they usually follow a certain format. We will perform usually 2 primary lifts. The first will be max sets at low reps, increasing weight. The second will be 2 or 3 sets of high reps or until failure. We follow that up with 3-4 secondary lifts with sets and reps depending on the exercise and intensity of the workout.

Cardio will be HIIT type training on wed and lower intensity conditioning on Saturdays.

I have my first real day of work for a moving company tomorrow which will be workout in itself. I'm hoping this doesn't interfere too much with training.

Current Supps
Neovar Recomped
RPM
Drive (about a week left)
ON 100% whey
1fast400 beta alanine
now foods super omega 3-6-9
now foods green tea extract

Dosing:
2-3 Drive AM, 2 Drive preworkout (or 6-8 hours after first dose)
1 RPM AM (sometimes), 2-3 preworkout
3 Neovar with lunch, 3 postworkout
Postworkout shake- 2 scoops whey, beta alanine, milk, fruit
Super Omega 3-6-9- 2 AM, 2 before bed
Green Tea Extract- 1 AM

Diet: I'm not extremely strict with my diet but I have cleaned it up a decent amount. I will be eating 3-4 meals a day with a snack or two throughout. I'll get more specific once I see how work is affecting my diet. I'm going to stay away from eating crap as much as possible and eat a lot of lean protein. Also, I like to drink, but now that I am working I won't be drinking much at all so shouldn't be an issue. I get a decent amount of water throughout the day but I'm going to try to increase it to as close to 2 gallons a day as possible.

i can't figure out how to get the pic up with the bottle and newspaper so I will try to get that tomorrow with my friends camera...anyways...

Day 1 5/19

AM
3 Drive
1 RPM
1 Green Tea Extract

Breakfast- Honey bunches of oats and milk

Lunch- Ham and cheese on wheat, Nature Valley bar, granola bar, yogurt
3 Neovar

Preworkout- 3 RPM, 2 Drive

Postworkout-
Shake- 2 scoops whey, beta alanine
3 Neovar

Dinner-
Chicken Parm with Penne
*made sure to eat soon after taking the Neovar because it says to take with carbs

*I'll be eating more than this usually, just a really hectic day.

Workout
Barbell Incline- Max sets 3 reps (4 sets of 3, 1 set of 1)
DB Floor press- 2 sets max reps (16 reps and 9 reps)
Barbell rows- 4 sets 8 reps
DB Reverse flys (superset)- 4 sets 10 reps
Pull Ups- 4 sets of 5
Alternating chain bicep curls- 3 sets of 10+10

First Impressions:
RPM was awesome as usual and I had some really great energy for this workout. It was a tough day for my arms and I had a really good pump going at the end. I'm not sure if the Neovar would have had an affect on this.

The Neovar has a funny smell to it and tastes a little weird in the mouth but nothing too extreme. I did notice after my first dose that you should really get some carbs as soon as possible after taking it. I waited about 20 min and started getting some awful tasting burps but these went away as soon as I ate. I was farting a lot tonight but that could have been anything.

Workout felt good. I'll keep updating and try to get that pic up tomorrow at some point. If anyone has any advice on anything I would def appreciate it.

Day 2 5/20

AM
3 Drive
1 RPM
2 Super Omega 3-6-9
1 Green Tea Extract

Breakfast- Honey bunches of oats and milk

Lunch- turkey and cheese on a roll, yogurt with granola, granola bar
3 Neovar

Snack- honey bunches of oats and milk

Preworkout
2 Drive
2 RPM

Postworkout
Shake- 2 scoops whey, beta alanine, fat free frozen yogurt, strawberries
3 Neovar

Dinner (right after workout)- Pork chop, steak, rice

Workout
Hang clean- 5x3
Step Ups- 3x10+10
DB RDL- 3x12
Band Pull Ins with feet- 3x15

Felt awesome today. Work got out early so I got a good nap in before I started. I had some really good energy and the hang cleans went better than expected. I'm thinking about dosing the first 3 Neovar preworkout and then getting some quick carbs because I almost think they give me a little more energy. Farting a lot again, which i don't mind.

Still trying to figure out how to get the pic up. I have a camera but need to find a usb cord. I'll see if I can get it up tonight after the Celtics game.

Are you cutting?

I don't think eating cereal all day is gonna put any muscle on you if that's what you're after. unsure.gif

Posted by: Michael218532 May 20 2008, 07:20 PM
cereal is about all i have in the house right now, probably going to do some food shopping in a few days...i dont have time to make anything in the mornings because i have to be at work before 7 usually

im guess im on a bit of a bulk but i'm not trying to put a lot of weight on. i figure i can put on a few pounds over a couple months and stay in good shape for rugby. im more concerned about strength

Posted by: yeashescool May 20 2008, 07:23 PM
a good idea incase your interested
with that same type of cereal i usually add a bunch of oats, adds good carbs and calories and isnt such a small meal, also perhaps a banana

quick and easy too

Posted by: Michael218532 May 20 2008, 07:45 PM
thanks ill try that out, i think im gonna pick up some eggs and just hardboil a bunch at night and have those with breakfast too

Posted by: Big_Ben May 21 2008, 03:36 PM
Yo Mike so far looking good bro, definitely get your carbs in no more than about 15 minutes after NeoVar. I got the same burps, which after awhile it was right on target of eating my carbs. I usually shot for around 50g's of carbs, if I took it with a shake I'd get more. Anyway, you get your first burp then its definitely time to eat!

I'd definitely eat some eggs in the morning as well it will increase your metabolism I usually fry a few or hardboiled is good too. They make a thing you can hardboil eggs in with your microwave...kinda weird but convenient and I hope it doesn't change the structure of the proteins. You could eat your cereal and then right after drink like a 1 scoop Whey shake with milk in the morning, somedays if I'm in a hurry thats what I do then eat some more food at break at work!

Definitely pick up some canned tuna if you need to its easy if you are busy! Italian Dressing added to tuna is great. Jerky is a good snack too!

Also if you want grab some carb powders, Dextrose is cheap and will give you a good spike after workouts I use NOW Dextrose post and Maltodextrin pre. Just make sure you are giving yourself enough carbs to fuel your workouts.

Day 3 5/21

worked 13 hard hours today so didn't do the cardio...

i took the usual Drive and 1 RPM in the morning (which got me through my morning). i wish i had brought another one because i could have used it around 4.

i took all 6 neovar with dinner where i ate like a horse, got plenty of carbs

hopefully tomorrow will be a shorter day so i can lift hard when i get out. i think im going to check the progress on the bench in about a week and a half.

Posted by: Michael218532 May 21 2008, 09:47 PM
o and i think my lifting partner is putting in a BN order in the next few days, ill see if he wants in with some dextrose. ive heard waxi maize is good as well. ill do some research but thanks for the tip

Day 4 5/22

AM
2 Drive (almost out)
1 RPM
2 Super Omega 3-6-9

Breakfast- hardboiled egg (in a rush)

Lunch 1- ham turkey and cheese sandwich, 2 granola bars

Lunch 2- Honey Bunches of Oats (added extra oats), 2 hardboiled eggs, yogurt with granola, 3 Neovar

Preworkout-2 RPM

Postworkout Shake- 2 scoops whey, strawberris, banana, milk, fat free frozen yogurt, oats, 3 Neovar

Dinner- chicken, salad, mashed potatoes, 2 Super Omega 3-6-9

snacked on some pretzels during the game

Workout
Exercise Ball DB Bench- 4x15
Chins- 4x8
Scarecrows (superset)- 4x12
Bradford Press- 4x12
Plate Pushups- 3x15
DB curls (superset)- 3x10+10

Work was exhausting today. Moved a bunch of furniture to a 4th and 5th floor apartment and my arms were pumped by the time we finished.

Im up 2 lbs since starting the Neovar and feeling pretty good. The farting has subsided. I have had a muscle spasm in my right arm for almost 2 days though which is weird. I've stayed hydrated and it might just be the extra stress work is putting on my body.

For right now I'm going to use oats for postworkout carbs.

Day 5 5/23

Didn't get to work out today. Had a moving job that lasted from 8 am until 9 at night. I don't feel too bad though because I definitely got a good workout in.

AM
2 Drive
1 RPM
2 Super Omega 3-6-9

Breakfast- Kix (kid tested and mother approved), hardboiled egg

Lunch 1- ham and cheese on a roll, granola bar, 2 hardboiled eggs

Lunch 2- cheeseburger sub, trail mix bar

Lunch 3- yogurt with granola, granola bar, pretzels

Dinner- steak, salad, mashed potatoes
6 Neovar
2 Drive

I had to take all the Neovar at once but didn't have any problems with this. I feel a little fuller since starting out. I might try to make up my leg day this weekend depending on my work schedule. I'm working every day but hopefully I'll have a short day and be able to work out after. The moving is definitely a good cardio workout and I feel like my forearms have gotten bigger in literally 5 days since I started.

Posted by: Michael218532 May 25 2008, 06:12 PM
Day 7 5/25

Drank a little bit last night but didn't go too crazy. Had a bunch of water before bed and this morning.

AM
2 RPM
1 Green Tea Extract
2 Super Omega 3-6-9

Breakfast- 2 breakfast sandwiches from Dunkies

Lunch- cheeseburger and 2 hot dogs

Dinner- about to have some chicken and rice
2 SuperOmega 3-6-9
6 Neovar

I will probably have another meal later today.

Workout- played about 2 hours of bball today. I had taken the RPM right before and I felt great. I was running the floor for the full 2 hours it seemed. RPM is the only preworkout I feel comfortable taking before intense cardio.

I should be doing the usual Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri lift this week depending on work. The plan is to test the 1 rep max bench a week from Monday. I feel like I am definitely getting stronger so its time to check up on the stats.

u still need to eat more bro, ur cals seem real low

Posted by: Michael218532 May 25 2008, 09:17 PM
i got about 3500 calories today (breakfast was 1000+ and had a very big dinner). I usually eat more in a day but how much higher should I go if I'm not trying to put much weight on?

Posted by: yeashescool May 25 2008, 11:12 PM
idk bro, just looks like ur eating alot of little stuff, it may seem like alot to you and keep you full, but not really dense/full calories.I mean calories is calories per say, but would you rather have 500 cals from 2 cups of milk, and 2 cups of ceral? or sweet potato, veggies, and steak. Not dicking on you, just my personal opinions. Just try eating more of the basics; chicken, eggs, tuna, oats, pasta, fish,etc.....adding oats to your cereal is a good start.

anyway just effin' around a lil

Day 8 5/26

AM
2 RPM
2 Super Omega 3-6-9
1 Green Tea Extract

Breakfast- 1 hardboiled egg, yogurt, cereal

Lunch- grilled chicken and rice, hardboiled egg, yogurt with granola, trail mix bar, pretzels

Preworkout- 2 RPM

Postworkout shake- 2 scoops whey, beta alanine, fat free frozen yogurt, strawberries, milk
6 Neovar, oatmeal, trail mix bar

Dinner- bacon, eggs, english muffin

Workout-
BB Floor Press- max sets 3 reps (3,3,3,2,1)
Incline DB Press- max reps 2 sets (18,14)
Seated cable pulldowns- 4x10
Band pull aparts (superset)- 4x10
Kneeling DB curl and press- 4x10

Had about 10 hours of work today so I was a little tired for my workout. I tweaked my shoulder a bit moving a couch and during my lift it was killing me. I got 240 for 2 on floor press which is pretty good for me, but my left arm (the one with the bum shoulder) was way behind my right. It sucks that it is hurt but I feel like when it is healthy i'll be able to do a lot more weight. (Anyone with any shoulder advice? i sprained and resprained it about 5 times in less than a month at the end of my rugby season and it has been lingering).

I will do another weigh in at the end of this week but I'm definitely feeling a little bit bigger.

yeashescool how did the diet look today? i tried to increase the intake a little bit. i will probably have a shake or something before i get to bed.

Lunch 1- 2 ham and cheese on wheat, hardboiled egg, yogurt with granola, trail mix bar, strawberries

Lunch 2- grilled chicken and cheese on wheat, yogurt
beta alanine in some OJ

Preworkout- 2 RPM

Postworkout shake- Gatorade RTD
6 Neovar, 2 trail mix bars (about 65 g carbs)

Dinner- 4 beef tacos, some salad

Probably have a shake before bed

Workout- I didn't workout in the usual location so I had to switch up the workout a bit

Power Cleans- pyramid down (8,4,2,1)
BB Step Ups- 4x5+5
Ab Circuit

The shoulder is still bothering and messed up the cleans a little bit but I hit 210 for 1 relatively easily. I think the twitch in my arm has finally gone away. I don't know if it had anything to do with the Neovar and it didn't bother me too much.

Strength is definitely improving, I just wish the shoulder would start to feel a little bit better.

Took today to rest. My legs and back are sore from work and lifting. I have noticed that in general my recovery time has been pretty quick but I think a few long days of work have taken a bit of a toll.

Posted by: yeashescool May 28 2008, 10:39 PM
gotta eat more broski, are u a student at school? ( ur prob on summer break if u go away to school) or what?

Posted by: Michael218532 May 28 2008, 10:49 PM
im in college but im home for the summer...i have been eating pretty big meals (e.g. my dinner tonight was enormous, i make huge sandwiches for lunch everyday) and i have actually put on a few lbs...it may be some water weight from the neovar but I am getting bigger

i will try to be more specific about how much exactly i am eating to give a better idea of my intake.

Posted by: Michael218532 May 29 2008, 08:45 PM
I decided to try a Neovar in the morning to switch it up a bit. I didn't notice any huge differences but I had a pretty tough day at work and got through it surprisingly easily considering how sore I have been.

AM
1 RPM
1 Neovar
2 Super Omega 3-6-9
1 Green Tea Extract

Breakfast- yogurt, cereal

Lunch 1- ham, turkey and cheese on wheat, hardboiled egg, yogurt with granola, trail mix bar, strawberries

Lunch 2- 2 bananas, double cheeseburger, 2 trail mix bars

Dinner- mustard chicken (about a breast and a half) and rice

Preworkout- 2 RPM

Postworkout- 3 scoops whey, beta alanine, strawberries, banana (so full after this shake)
6 Neovar (forgot I took one in the morning), 2 Nature Valley Bars (Oats and Honey)

Workout-
BB Bench- 4x15 at 55% (only got 11 on the last set)
Chins- 4x10
Rear Delt DB Flies (superset)- 4x12
L Lateral Raises- 3x10
Decline DB Flies- 3x12
Incline DB curls- 3x12+12
Stability Ball Crunches- 15 middle, 15 left, 15 right x 2

The pumps were amazing today. The RPM gives me a pretty decent pump during my workout and immediately after, but the Neovar gives me a really long lasting pump after the postworkout dosage. The high rep workout probably contributed to this today but I have started to notice it more and more with each workout.

I'll weigh myself tomorrow probably. I don't have work so I'm gonna do legs and maybe get some cardio in.

Question- I took the 6 Neovar postworkout after taking one this morning. I think i'm going to continue dosing the Neovar in the morning to see how I like it. Should I then take only 5 postworkout or stick with 6 and just up the daily dosage by 1?

Yo bro, when you say PostWO shake, are you taking your NeoVar then 15 mins later drinking your shake and eating your stuff or do you drink your shake then take the NeoVar and eat?

If you'd like to break it up, try out 3 in the morning with carbs, and 3 after workouts just to keep a constant flow. Otherwise 1 in the morning and 5 or 6 at nite isn't going to kill you.

Sounds like it won't be long till you are feeling pumped almost 24/7, and try some hard flexing and releasing 5-6 times in a row and see if the muscles start filling up. Once that point hits, flexing gets addictive.

Workout
Partial Dead Lifts- max sets 3 reps

Day 13 5/31

Had a pretty rough day at work (got a $100 tip though biggrin.gif ). I wanted to get some cardio in so I took a monster nap after work hoping I would recover a bit but the back and legs felt pretty dead

1 RPM
1 Neovar
2 Super Omega 3-6-9
1 Green Tea Extract

Breakfast- cereal, jelly donut (customer offered, couldn't refuse...it was delicious)

Lunch- turkey and cheese on a roll, 2 Nature Valley Honey and Oats bars, yogurt with granola, pretzels

Snack- 2 trail mix bars, some apple pie

Preworkout
1 Neovar
1 RPM
granola bar

Dinner- baked chicken breast, pasta, grilled veggies, shake (2 scoops whey, beta alanine)

ate like crap today...

Workout (cardio)-
1/2 mile warmup
10x100m sprints (walk back)
2 rounds of-
Mountain Climbers 30+30
Jumping Lunges 10+10

Pull Ups 5

Felt kinda off today. I'll rest up tomorrow. I think I'm gonna postpone testing my bench out on Monday. I have to do a fitness test for work and it is a full stadium run (takes between 30 and 40 min). I will probably will be exhausted and don't want to half ass it.

Day 15 6/2

So today I had this fitness test for my job (weird, i know). all the new guys had to run the harvard stadium. one of the toughest athletic things I have ever had to do in my life. it was 37 sections, big steps on the way up and small on the way down. i finished in about 36 min which is a pretty average time, but my legs were shot when i was done. im sure i will be feeling it tomorrow when i have to work and im supposed to be doing a leg workout. i was exhausted for my workout today so it didn't go great but not too bad.

AM
1 Neovar
2 Super Omega 3-6-9
1 Green Tea Extract

Breakfast 1- cereal, banana
Breakfast 2 (right after stadium run)- scrambled eggs (about 2), french toast, 2 cups mixed fruit

Lunch- turkey and cheese on wheat, Nature Valley Bars (2), yogurt

Preworkout
3 RPM
3 Neovar, 2 packets of oatmeal

Postworkout- 3 Neovar (took about 10 min before I was done lifting)
Shake- 2 scoops whey, beta alanine, oats

Dinner- 1/2 lb burger, french fries

I'll have a shake before bed

Workout-
Stadium Run in the morning

Weighted Pull ups- 4x5
DB Bench Press- 2 sets max reps
Chest Supported DB rows- 4x8
Scarecrows (superset)- 4x8
Hammer Curls- 3x8+8

I decided to split up the Neovar pre and post workout and i felt pretty decent considering the workout i got in the morning. I'm going to keep taking the Neovar before the end of my workout and probably throw oats in my shake or have some oatmeal when im having my shake.

Day 16 6/3

AM
2 Super Omega 3-6-9
1 Green Tea Extract

Breakfast- cereal, added oats

Lunch- ham and cheese on a roll, 2 hardboiled eggs, banana, Nature Valley bar

Snack- some more cereal (need to go food shopping), trail mix bar

Dinner- chicken marsala (2 chicken breasts) with spaghetti

Postworkout- 6 Neovar, 2 Nature Valley bars and a granola bar
shake- 2 scoops whey, beta alanine

Workout
Walking Sled Pulls (standing straight up)- 4x30 yards
Weighted Reactive Box Jumps- 8x3
Reverse BB lunges- 3x10+10
Ab Circuit

Legs were absolutely destroyed from the stadium run yesterday so the workout wasn't too good. Mostly high rep stuff and I'm hoping i got some of the soreness out. Didn't take the RPM preworkout because I was lifting so late and I didn't have the same focus. Tomorrow will probably be an off day or maybe some light cardio depending on how I'm feeling.

I took the Neovar before the end of my workout and got the carbs with the nature valley and granola bar.

A tip for ya bud...it really is more beneficial to take split doses of the NeoVar: Recomped! Me being a bigger guy (6'4" 275) I'll do 3 split doses of 4 caps (breakfast, pre-workout meal, and post-workout meal) sometimes because of the nutrient repartioning effects the banaba extract in NeoVar: Recomped has. However, most of the time I really prefer to just take 2 split doses of 6 (pre-workout meal and post-workout meal). Now at your size you don't need to be taking 12 caps a day, you should aim for 6-8. What I would do is on training days take 4 caps 15 mins prior to your pre-workout meal and then 15 mins prior to your post-workout meal, on off days do a 3 and 3 dosing protocol around the same time you normally would have your pre and post- workout meals if it were a training day. Taking the NeoVar: Recomped with a pre-workout meal greatly increases your workout performance so I highly recommend giving that a shot.

Anyway, looks like Big Ben has ya covered on the rep front so I won't intervene too much here. However, I'll be checking in from time to time so if you do have any questions I can help you with...don't be afraid to ask.

Looks like the log is going good though. Keep up the good work bud!

Cheers!

Day 18 6/5

thanks for the advice smsbearsam, i split up the doses today pre and postworkout (and one in the AM)

the day off yesterday was huge and i got 8.5 hrs of sleep last night because i had a late start for work. felt amazing all day.

AM
1 Neovar
2 Super Omega 3-6-9
1 Green Tea Extract

Breakfast- cereal and oats

Lunch- ham and cheese on wheat, yogurt with granola, grapes, 2 Nature Valley bars

Preworkout- 3 Neovar, oatmeal
4 RPM

Postworkout- 3 Neovar (10 min before i finished the workout)
shake- 2.5 scoops whey, beta alanine, oats, strawberries, milk

Dinner- 1/2 lb+ cheeseburger, 2 slices grilled chicken pizza, shake with 1 scoop whey (used my brother's whey which is ON mint chocolate and it is a pretty gross flavor)

Workout

Chins- 4x12
Rear Delt Flys (superset)- 4x12
Lateral Raises- 3x12
DB Shrugs- 3x10

Workout went great today. I upped the RPM to 4 and that just puts me in a whole other zone. The soreness from the stadium run on Monday has finally started to wear off and I got some good sleep. The pumps today were ridiculous and still haven't gone away. I meant to check my weight today but I forgot so I'll try to update that tomorrow.

Sweet that your adding in Beta Alanine, seen some good research on its effects when paired with Creatine. The long lasting pumps sound like the product is making a nice little anabolic home in your muscles. wink.gif

went on a little vaca for the weekend down in cape cod and didnt have time to post on friday. i took 3 Neovar pre and post workout with the usual carbs and shake.

Workout

I haven't done much free squatting recently and it was my first time trying it with bands but I felt surprisingly good.

I'm doing upper body later today and I'll give another update

has your weight varied at all?

Posted by: Michael218532 Jun 10 2008, 07:41 PM
Day 23 6/10

Current Weight- 192.5...my weight hasn't varied much but I don't think there is as much water weight anymore...i feel absolutely no bloat and I look pretty lean.

I missed my workout last night because of some family stuff I had to do so I did upper body today.

AM
2 Super Omega 3-6-9
1 Green Tea Extract

Breakfast- cereal and oats, banana

Lunch- ham and cheese on roll, yogurt with granola, trail mix bar, granola bar

Preworkout- 3 Neovar, banana, trail mix bar, granola bar
3 RPM

Postworkout- 4 Neovar (10 min before i finished the workout)
shake- 2 scoops whey, beta alanine, oats, strawberries, milk

Dinner- t-bone steak, rice, spaghetti with pesto, salad

Workout
Bench Press with chains- max sets 3 reps
Chin Ups- max reps 2 sets
BB rows- 4x8
Band Pull Aparts (superset)- 4x8
DB Curls- 4x10
Ab Circuit

I felt a little bit weak today and I'm sure that had to do with taking 3 days off and spending the weekend at the beach. I didn't realize it but people were telling me I looked a lot leaner this weekend which is good. I think I have definitely dropped a little bit of bf and put on muscle. As usual, great pumps after the workout.

pretty good stuff imo. i took incarnate a while back during my rugby season and noticed a huge difference in recovery. i just went with some bulk from 1fast this time and i usually throw it in my shake mix it with some oj during the day. i like the tingle, you can actually feel it working...for the price id say its a good product, especially since its so good while taking creatine

Day 26 6/13

Worked all day yesterday and didn't have time to get my workout in. I didn't want to miss another leg day so I did that today and I'm going to try and make up the upper body workout sometime this weekend

AM
2 Super Omega 3-6-9
1 Green Tea Extract

Breakfast- oatmeal

Lunch- grilled chicken, baked potato

Preworkout- 3 Neovar, oatmeal
2 RPM

Postworkout- 3 Neovar
shake- 2 scoops whey, beta alanine, oats, strawberries, banana, fat free frozen yogurt, milk

Dinner- 1/2 lb cheeseburger, salad, steak fries

Workout-
Box Squats- max sets 3 reps
DB RDLs- 4x8
Backwards sled pulls- 3x30 yards
Sled bear crawls- 3x30 yards

My squat has improved a lot. I hit 305 for 3 on the box squats which is pretty terrible but it is the best I have done since my hip injury a year ago. My left leg still isn't close to the strength of my right but they have started to even out a bit. I'm hoping the progress stays as steady as it has been.

note: i think i have convinced my lifting buddy to pick up some Neovar smile.gif

Tough day of work today kinda killed my workout.

Current weight- 195 and feeling lean

AM
2 Super Omega 3-6-9
1 Green Tea Extract

Breakfast- cereal, hardboiled egg

Lunch- ham and cheese on a roll, banana, yogurt, granola bar, 2 nature valley bars

Preworkout- 3 Neovar, 2 bananas, 2 nature valley bars

T Bar Rows- 4x8
Band Pull Aparts (superset)- 4x8
Incline DB hammer curls- 3x8+8
BB Shurgs (superset)- 3x8

Added a few pounds which I'm pleased with. Shoulder has started to bother me again and today's workout was only ok. I'm about to hit day 30 but I'll keep the log going until I finish the bottle (around 40 days). My goal is still to hit 300 lb bench by July 15 so I have a month. I haven't done much straight bench recently so I'm not positive where I'm at but if I were to guess I would say around 285...meaning I have some major work to do. I'll try a max out soon and I might consider switching up the workout routine to focus a little more on chest. My other lifts have all improved pretty dramatically.

Posted by: Big_Ben Jun 17 2008, 12:23 PM
With you're shoulder bothering you alittle make sure you have a spot before nailing flat bench! If it don't feel right don't go for max, work your way to up to only 3 reps. I never max out 1 rep.

But just a lifter to lifter suggestion, then again you may get underneath it and push it right up! Just have a spotter bro! wink.gif

Carb intake is looking better postWO! Keep it up!

PreWO, I use a scoop of whey and 1 cup of quick oats and blend, chocolate whey and oats and alittle peanut butter is my "No Bake Cookie Shake". Just give yourself 45minutes before working out, but the energy you get is ridiculous.

yea i haven't tried the one rep max yet and i've been using a spotter

for preworkout i'm usually taking the neovar immediately after work and then workout about a half hour later so I try not to eat too much, just get enough carbs. the no bake cookie shake sounds delish, i might have to give it a try when i have some time before my workout.

moving the leg day to tomorrow, my lifting buddy is having back spasms and i had a pretty shitty day at work...

yesterday was supposed to be an upper body day but i had sprained my thumb playing bball. i went to workout and just couldnt get a grip on the bar. i ended up just doing pushups, chinups and pullups for about half an hour. today i wanted to do legs but it was another miserable day at work (12+ hours) and tomorrow looks to be more of the same. not off to a good start this week.

im gonna end the log on thurs when i finish the bottle and give a final review. im getting my wisdom teeth out fri so that should be pretty good timing.

Posted by: Michael218532 Jun 26 2008, 10:56 PM
worked 46 hours in 4 days this week and i am exhausted. i thought i would put up my final review (just finished the bottle today)

goals-
strength- i didn't hit the 300 lb bench (although im still giving myself until july 15) but my bench improved. the lingering shoulder injury hasn't allowed me to max out in bench or power clean but if i were to venture a guess based on lower weight reps i would guess around 285 (started 275)for bench and 210 or 215 (started 205) for power clean. my squats went wayy up which was unexpected. squats have been terrible since the hip injury last year but now they are starting to come back. strength increases were slightly above average for a cycle of creatine for me i would say.
weight-
final weight is 194, which is a 6 lb increase and i don't think any of it is fat. i have been eating relatively clean and getting a lot of cardio from work and working out. i am extremely pleased with this result.

overall i would say the neovar recomped is a great product. i have used plain mono and micronized creatine, and also cellmass a couple years ago but i didn't see nearly the gains with these products as i did with the neovar. i saw results with the cellmass but for way more money, way fewer servings and way less convenience. only $28 for the 40 day supply of neovar is unbeatable. i would say recovery was a little above average while taking the neovar.

the only issues i had with the product are some GI stuff (nothing too intense) and terrible, earthy tasting heartburn if i didn't get carbs soon enough after dosing.

i would def recommend this product for anyone on a bulk, and for someone on a cut it could be a really good supp for maintaining some strength.
from the AN products i have tried (RPM, Drive, Lipo-PM, Neovar Recomped), i would have to say that Drive is the most effective product but the bottle is too small and you really need to pick up 2 bottles to get the full results (i just started to really notice some effects as i was finishing up the bottle). neovar is probably the best bang for your buck.

if im not broke after i get back from australia i might go with another AN stack plus some goodies. if i hit the lottery my ideal stack would be RPM, Drive (x2), Neovar Recomped, an amino product (i would like to try Poseidon or Purple Wraath), and maybe a nighttime product (no idea which one) plus the staples.

i hope the log helped out.

getting the wisdom teeth out tomorrow. wish me luck.

Thanks for a great log man. How'd the wisdom teeth come out? (no pun intended)

3 of them went fine...the other was pretty impacted and is giving me issues...still cant really eat which sucks...percocet is fun though
