Well as some of you may know I've had 3 knee surgeries to repair my left ACL, PCL and LCL. I was pitting during Pennywise this weekend and I heard a loud pop when I went head to head with some fat white fucker. I stepped out to assess the damage and I'm pretty sure the ACL tore. Fuck... all this hard work building my deads and squats is gone. I will go get an MRI and go from there. I will certainly run start a cycle during the recovery process to expedite the recovery. Anyone have experience with something like this and a recommendation for a cycle. I guess most importantly what exercises would be safe and effective now that I may not be doing squats for some time?

Don't know about the chem stuff to help recovery. But various types of GM's and various types of SLDL would be good to keep your back, gluts, and hams up to snuff. Heck I know Chuck V. after tearing his acl wraped up and down his leg with knee wraps put his knee basically into a cast and did some knee height rack pulls.

Yeah I was thinking Goodmornings too. Maybe some calf raises if the knee is stable. I've got some some nice legs but my left one will look like shit after surgery. For some reason the quad stops working and atrophies whenever you get your knee worked on. You basically have to start all over. I'm counting on Muscle memory and my work ethic to get it back and hopefully symmetrical. I have no idea where to begin as far as that goes.
Jason, I'm sure it's probably not a good idea to do squats at all when suffering through a knee injury, correct? But do you think conventional deads are fine, as long as the knee feels fine during the lift?

I did some rack pulls today and felt great. I have an Appt. Friday and will have MRI's to assess the damage. I did the Lachman Test to see how much give my ACL has and it's torn for sure.

To much bend to do a full DL. I'd stick with knee height or higher.

Yeah Jason... I think deads will be too much. Racks were cool yesterday though. I guess I will have the chicken thing going on for a while till I'm back in shape. I always hated those bastards with no legs and now I'm going to be one of 'em. I'm depressed already!
