If you're a father of two kids, and have gone this long being unemployed, I'm not really afraid you'd try and punch me. I'm 30 years old have no kids, and I've never been unemployed long enough to need to collect unemployment, and if I had kids, I'd damn sure not be sitting around waiting for a job to show up. I have lots of friends who got laid off from their preferred job field, but they went out and got other jobs immediately, becuase they have kids to support. Do they like the jobs they have? No, but they work at them till they can get a job in their field again.

 | QUOTE (azfittrainer @ Jul 9 2008, 05:22 PM) | | Last I checked any fulltime job, even a minimum wage one will pay more than 235 a week. Unemployment is meant to be there until you find something else, not to sit on your ass till what you want comes along. |
Bull shit dude, if you want to complain about people who get unemployment then maybe you should go to a board where people complain about shit like that. I assume he made pretty good money between 70-80 grand a year, how much do you think he paid in Taxes on that money? about 30% of that money went to taxes you do that math that comes to about $25,000 a year in taxes I think he deserves 3-4 times what he is getting a week now in unemployment, yet he is not complaining at all about how much he is getting because he is out trying to find a job that pays close to what he was making. I would not call this man a dead beat when he has given the Government over 300,000 plus dollars over the coarse of his employed days I think its time the government gave back a little till he can find what it is he is looking for. Now STFU and eat dick.
HANDLEBARSI believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs. —Thomas Jefferson, 1802
