It's definitely a good idea to control some of those negative aspects of being "on-cycle."
Try this:
1-2 grams of
L-tryptophan close to bedtime on an empty stomach
and
1-2 grams of
L-tyrosine or
L-phenylalanine 1 hour prior to breakfast or sometime during the day on an empty stomach.
And if you decide to do this, make sure take them separated by a few hours because their transport mechanisms into the brain are the same and they will compete
