Javy, when you shrug pull your shoulders back then do your shrugs, and do behind the back shrugs to, i use the smith to do them behind me. My traps are my strong point.

I've always found the dumbell shrugs to give me the best feeling. Now whether they are better for growth, IDK. I don't shrug... I depend on deadlifts, bent rows, upright rows, overhead press, etc.... the traps are involved in all of those.
I've read that 'farmer walks' are good... kind of like a static hold, I suppose.

Doing shrugs behind the back puts your traps in a semi flexed position, the range of motion is kinda low but its way more productive.
Javy, be careful with that thing, ive had....er.....heard sum horror storys.
