That's what I plan on doing. I love training and cutting calories doesn't bother me at all. I find that I eat cleaner this way. I just LOATHE cardio, as I'm sure most of us iron junkies do...thanks for the straight to the point answer. Take care, Scottynik.

Just do the bike or eliptical for 15minutes 3x a week, its just enough to increase your metabolism.

Sure it's possible, but cardio provides other benefits besides fat loss.

ive forced myself to do cardio and its a little different every time.. Either 30 mins on treadmill at moderate pace, slow cardio for an hour, punching bag cuircut, or ill go hiking (local woods) for a couple hours and ill bring water and protien bar.. or ill go to the same woods and sprint up the hills for less time.. i feel a'lot healthier and blood flow seems to improve

Hey, I appreciate all of the feedback and have been knocking off about 45 min of moderate cardio AT LEAST 5 days a week now. I just bit the bullet and said "fuck it"...wish me luck.

clinical studies actually show that resistive excersice is a better way to burn fat than cardio. Although cardio is great for the heart and the whole circulatory system dont get me wrong. But if you want to get cut keep your nutrition in check, cut back on your caloric intake and try something like HIT or super circuits. So the answer is YES you can cut without cardio. It just comes down to, are you gonna enjoy it? lol.

You can do it, but it's not a good idea. If you lose fat by severely cutting your calories, your metabolism grinds to a halt. The reason pro bb'rs get away with it is the massive amounts of drugs they take.

^ Very true, about the pro's.

Have you ever looked into carb cycling? Cardio would still be benificial but as i stated before 15 minutes will suffice 3 times a week. Ive been watching a few carb cycling logs and i have to admit that the results are pretty sick, they are still growing and dropping bodyfat rapidly. They arent starving themselves, but its very detailed with your macro's. Im going to be doing this at the beginning of spring to get ready for the competition season. Oh i forgot to mention, some of these guys that are carb cycling arent doing any cardio.

all you really need is a calorie deficit, this is what cardio creates. You will want to eat foods that have a long burn time in order to keep your insulin steady though.
