VITARGO S2 GRAPE REVIEW

user posted image

Whats it used for? Post Workout Glycogen Recovery

Nutrition fact:
70 grams of carbs per scoop (from barley amylopectin)

Grape tastes real good, kinda like a thick grape drink.

Taste: 10/10 (i feel like drinking it even when i dont need to)
Mixability: 6/10 (gotta shake it for a while, or just blend it and make your life easier, as amylopectin is not soluble in water)

Probably the best post workout drink I had in a while.
Doesnt have the chalkiness of waximaize, doesnt have the supersweet taste of dextrose.

I've been eying this product for a long time. I started looking for real Vitargo after reading up on how WMS isn't Vitargo. Price is a bit high, but looks good.

Thanks for the review.

I've been using WMS preworkout for a while to drive whatever creatine cocktail I'm using into the system faster, fueling workouts, etc. Been pretty satisfied w/ it.

I just read an interesting article regarding whether an insulin spike is even necessary for glyco replenishment post wo. I mean, its probably debatable but he's saying you only need to use fast acting carbs/spike insulin if you didnt eat a pre-workout meal or if you trained to depletion. which is impossible for the average gym rat. just go home and eat a bowl of pasta with lean beef meatballs and marinara sauce...throw some fuckin sprigs of basil on it with slabs of parmesan in there. because it doesnt matter about macro timing either.

just look at jacked inmates. resynthesis occurs on a 24 hr level.

I always wondered about inmates. No gear, no supps, shitty diet....plus they probably overtrain, lifting every day in the yard, etc. They're cortisol levels are prob through the roof w/ the stresses of prison life. makes you wonder how they do it.

I would say consistency is the #1 contributing factor to the build of some inmates. Day-in, day-out...

I'm always amazed at how much progress I can make if I actually stick to something for for than 4 weeks at a time. Something always comes up and you slack off for a bit.

Thanks for the review. Reading reviews from forum members who have actually used the products are far more valuable than information from the website, etc.

Vitamin C rolleyes.gif

Seriously, they get oranges and shit like that for snacks. a large orange has a good amount of C in it. Plus They have access to buy stuff if they have money. like extra food, canned meat, PB, vitamins, whatever.

This is absolutely correct. Experienced athletes will know what "hitting the wall" (reaching carb depletion) feels like and can therefore diet accordingly. The only days this happens to me are leg and sometimes back day- then I'll eat quick carbs PWO, then slower ones like oats when the spike isn't necessary. Most people don't need the insulin spike at all, but it depends on your individual workouts.
