I want to bulk order some supplements and use them in sublingual form. I know the taste will be unbearable on some but from what I read one of the most effective ways to take suppliments is under the tounge. Does just putting the raw powder under the toungue give a decent uptake or is a good carrier required and if so what method should be used to prepare it? Thanks in advance for any advice. Randy

No, just putting it under your tongue will likely a.) just make you want to vomit and b.) won't improve absorption/delivery any. Do you already have the raws?? or are you looking to obtain a pre-mixed suspension?? Personally, I'd just recommend using whatever it is transdermally, but-- if you're determined to go the oral route-- what you'd want is something to render the compound orally bioavailable (re: something like an undecoanate ester), because then you could just mix it in an oleic acid/lechetin or Prop. Glycol solution and take it straight orally (similarly, if you have 17aa-raws or something like 1,4-ADD, you can do the same thing). The problem is, there's really no easy way to attach such an ester without the proper materials, which is why you're going to have to go with an HPBCD-mixture (hydroxypropyl-beta cyclodextrin), which will render your raws bioavailable either intranasally or sublinguilly...

Thanks for the reply Loki, No i don't have the raws and have not seen much on sublinguilly or intranasally taking many of the supplements I want to take. I just have found researching that this gives the best delivery outside of injections. I have taken suppliments for several years but never gave much attention to delivery methods until now and never with PH/PS's before. I have elevated liver enzymes caused by a fatty liver and my goal is to take weight off. I know it is somewhat of a risk but so is driving my car or sparring and I still do both

If you do decide to go the sublingual route, you will be limited by the small amounts you will have to use per dose and the half-life will be quite short.

Hmm, How small a dose? I was also re-reading Loki's post and I was actually thinking of using this for ephederine or any other supplement that i want a quick response from like just before a workout. I guess transdermal could work as well and give better and faster delivery then oral.

Depends on the supplement. For steroids/prohormones cyclodextrin delivery works. See the attached article. |

Hey Guys, Just been reading your delivery delema. I want to know how mixing HPBCD with a pro-hormone or ephadrine powder will increase its absorption? I mean I understand the structure of CD (Cone or Donut) and I cant see how mixing the powders together will work. Am I missing something? I would have thought the pro-hormone would have to be spray coated our chemically bound with the HPBCD for it to deliver the pro-hormone through the cell membrane. Does the partical size matter? What other sports supplements could this cyclodextrin technology work with? How much is needed in comparison to its symbiotic friend (Pro-hormone/ephadrine)? Please help me to understand this a bit better as I do believe delivery technology is the future of supplementation. Any links for more information on this topic would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
